Hi everyone,

Passat TDI owners have been waiting a long time for a complete turbo back exhaust and Stage 2 chip. Well finally we will be developing this kit over the next few weeks. Starting on Monday the 16th of September, we will be working diligently on designing and developing the first prototype. We will also be doing some tuning and testing. Once the prototype is finalized we will be working on perfecting the production process in order to produce the best quality and most consistent final product.

We will be taking pictures along the way and posting them here along with updates and comments. You can even be a part of the design process to a certain extent. If it comes down to having multiple options for, say exhaust tips, we will post several pictures of tips and we'll use the one that most people like, provided that it works with the design.

We will not be discussing anything regarding pricing or purchasing in this thread. This is strictly about documenting the development and design process of this new exhaust kit. For any questions concerning pricing or purchasing please use the PM feature.

If you would like to follow along then please subscribe to this thread and stay tuned.

So far our original downpipe for the CR 2.0L TDi Golf, Jetta, etc. works perfectly on the Passat. Also the first half of our Golf, Jetta midpipe works also. There is just a slight modification to the second half of the midpipe to make it fit. Clearances everywhere are very nice for the exhaust. The cat-back (tail section) of the exhaust is being finalized right now.

Some new parts had to be machined from scratch, such as the EGR block of plate, a new style of sensor fitting for the Adblue sensor, and a custom dummy flange to hold the disabled Adblue injector in place. This injector needs to still be connected electrically for the software to function properly but it will no longer be functional.

Pictures coming by the end of the day of what we have so far.

Thanks for following.

FYI, no plans yet for the Touareg exhaust, sorry.

Hello everyone!

So the new Passat NMS TDI exhaust system, cold air intake and Stage 1.5 Malone Software has been developed!

The process took longer than expected which is the usual way things go, however the results are very good. Power is just slightly lower than that of the Jetta/Golf however not far off at all. The final numbers are 180 wHP and 333 wTQ. We have some sound clips and videos of the car driving on the street and the dyno run. You'll notice that on the dyno the rpm dropped momentarily due to the computer overcompensating for a boost spike. Malone has made corrections to this that still need to be tested out.

Passat Exhaust Update!

So the good news is that the Passat cat back exhausts are complete and in stock! The bad news is we ran out of Downpipes while working on the cat backs. The Passat uses the same downpipe as the all the other 2.0 CR TDIs. We have all the materials to make 100 downpipes and we're getting started this afternoon. We'll complete batches of 5 at a time and contact those of you on our Passat waiting list for first dibs. We should have about 10 full kits shipping out next week before we head out to Vegas for SEMA. The first kits should be shipping end of this week.

If there is anyone who is interested who has not already been added to the waiting list let us know.

Thank you all for being patient.

Passat Exhaust Pricing

The Passat uses our standard 2.0 CR Downpipe which is $579.

The Cat Back exhaust is $469.

The Midpipe actually has some extra hardware and brackets for "taking care of" the AdBlue system. There is a special non standard Sensor Bung, an AdBlue Block Off flange and a mounting bracket for the AdBlue injector. All this will add $50 to the price of the midpipe. So here are those prices for the 4 midpipe options:

-Straight Pipe Midpipe: $309
-High Flow Cat Midpipe: $469
-Resonated Midpipe: $479
-HF Cat and Resonated Midpipe: $639

The prices are going up on the web next week. Orders can be placed by phone until then.

Hi Passat People,
We're accepting orders as of now. Kits will ship out next week.
Please contact us by email or phone to order as the parts haven't yet been added to our site.
