I like it especially since they got the weight down. The 1 series remains the closest modern day BMW to the original BMW DNA. RWD, manual, inline 6...the M235i as potential to continue that DNA...

The M235i is expected to launch in the middle of next year and will replace the 1 Series as the new entry-level coupe model from BMW. Earlier in the month, it was confirmed that the M235i will come powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine with 322 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque.

BMW M235i Confirmed With 322-HP

The powerplant will allow the coupe to accelerate to 62 mph from a standstill in 4.8 seconds, giving it a top speed of 155 mph. Joining the M235i in the 2 Series lineup will be a 220i with 181 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque and a 220d with 181 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque.

Looking at all the performance add-ons available for the M235i (look at the very bottom) I'm strongly doubting that we're ever going to see an M2.

The posers couldn't afford a price increase of their low-end models, so they cut in the quality instead.

wrong,

what they do is they offer everything in options : upgraded leather, upgraded sound system, upgraded this and that.... in the end you finally get a "high end car" but the price increased by 25%...

They had a chance to introduce something different.. like a mini 6 series. The overall design it's pretty boring\disapointing compared to the competition..

44 000$ US ? c est 10 000$ US de plus que la 135...

Une CLA45 AMG va etre moins chere... ?!?!

La M235 va être full load, la 235 normale va commencer à un prix grandement inférieure. La 228 est 33k, donc similaire à la 128

ah ok ca fait un peu plus... de sens.

Mais la M235i va couter plus chère ici qu une C7?
