Question 100% sérieuse de ma part: c'est quoi du "Touge"? Je sais que c'est la montagne sinueuse d'une émission de char japonais, mais ici, ça veut dire quoi, du "Touge"?

Touge

1. Illegal and now turned professional form of racing in Japan involving two cars chasing each other single file through a twisty course, traditionally mountain roads. If the chase car catches up by the end it wins, if the lead car pulls away it wins. Popularized in the US by the recent "JDM craze" and jdm option videos

The word Tōge actually only means "pass" or "path", "way", for exemple the narrow one-way roads.
It was abreviated. Because in itself a Tōge could be in a mountain as much as other places. The nurburgring is a Tōge, a few European rally that take places in cities often could be called like that too.

Its so funny people that use words in a language they clearly dont know.
Misinterpretations on different societies and the meaning of their cultre.
Japan suffers a lot of it.

Ideally you will want something relatively stock, light weight, and preferably N/A (Flamesuit on because jdm fanboys think everything is better boosted). Too much power and crazy low and stiff suspensions on the touge is an excellent way to have a bad time. A good street suspension with all new bushings (poly if you don't mind changing them every 2-3 years), good brake pads and/or minor brake upgrade (300zx on s-chassis), and light mods (intake, exhaust, a/c & power steering delete, etc). The list of cars is pretty obvious, but these are the best ones to start off with and can be found for $1-3000 in rust free and a1 mechanical if you stay glued to the classifieds.

S13
Swift GT (best fwd racekor imo)
Pretty much any 3 door civic from the 90's

Many thanks!

Never seen anything like this here... Anything legal, that is!

Maybe I don't go out enough anymore, however...

Anything that is lightweight and responsive. Here is a video showing that light and responsive outshines power and grip:

Idéalement pour faire du touge, te faut une AE86 couleu panda pis tu dois vendre du tofu pour ton vieux pere.

J'te dirais qu'apres avoir touge ta mere, jte conseille d'oublier les chars. Tu serais mieux avec une charrue.
