I dont hate it. The cherokee is ugly but its a pretty decent truck nevertheless.

I would buy this truck if i could get it in Turbo D with a manual trans.

faudrait que tu sois en europe pour le moment

1.6 liter MultiJet II diesel with Stop/Start system (Europe only), six-speed manual, and front wheel drive; 118 hp, 236 lb-ft
2.0 liter MultiJet II diesel with Stop/Start system (Europe/Asia-Pacifica) with AWD only, and nine-speed automatic or six-speed manual; 103 or 125 kW output with 258 lb-ft of torque.

^^ Ya I think it looks cool.. Especially if modded in off road trim ( lift..bigger tires..roof rack and winch bumper ).. Looks like it would be a blast out on the trails.

i dont get why manuals are so unpopular here. I blame the americans.
They want everything so fast, fast food, fast money, and fast shifting... Us canadians like to take it easy.

Blame the Americans?

Meanwhile, in Europe, if you want an M3-M4-M5, you can only get it in automatic, but the USA gets a manual option.

Everyone said that about the Cherokee.

But numbers talk. Jeep just had the best February sales in their history.

This new Renegade will continue this trend.

quand meme laid, mais je suis d'accord le Cherokee ce vend tres bien... imagine s'il etait beau

on the other had there are mercedes (besides the SLK) available in manual over there but not here. Most manufacturers are the same story.

Serious.

Lol I admit this is far fetched. J aime bien le nouveau Jeep, il est interessant. Reste qu apres 4-5 ans, la valeur de revente ne sera pas tres haute. Est ce que le Jeep vaut le coup? Fort probablement. Est ce que tu veux subir la dépreciation? Non. Pas du tout.

The AWD systems both use the driver-selectable Selec-Terrain traction control system, which controls the powertrain, drivetrain, and brake computers, and stability control.

Standard mode is automatic, staying in front wheel drive most of the time, but splitting torque as needed.

Sport limits traction control, increases stability-control thresholds, and targets a front/rear torque split of 40/60 for a rear-drive feel.

Snow starts in second gear, sets brake controls for slick surfaces, and goes into full time 4x4, preferring a 60/40 front/rear split.

Mud/Sand is similar but has modified brake controls, and prefers rear wheel drive.

Rock, on Trailhawk only (because it is only available in low gear), is similar to Mud/Sand but increases brake lock differential capacity, and locks the differential.

quand meme pas pire

The Grand Cherokee and Wrangler are among the slowest depreciating cars. It's too soon to say if the Renegade/Cherokee are going to sink in value like the Compass/Patriot, but if they aren't complete hunks of junk like their predecessors (which doesn't seem to be the case), I would wait a bit before claiming anything about their depreciation...
