Mazda Protegé LX 2.0 2001MY
Silver with gray interior

Base model, hence manual windows, manual door locks, no cruise, no aircon, no ABS; does have remote trunk release & remote side mirrors
3 owners including myself (2nd owner bought it as a Mazda-certified lease return from a Mazda dealership & kept it for 7 years; I've had it for about a year now)
Recent maintenance (last 12 months):
-passenger side balljoint
-rear stabilizer bar bushings
-rear links
-2x solenoid switches
-starter
-NGK Spark plugs
-wiper blades
-Oil change just done (less than 200kms ago)
**Rear brakes cleaned & adjusted**
Modifications:
-Quaiffe LSD
-B&M short throw shifter
-Sparco shiftknob
-Koni blue shocks with lowering springs (don't remember which brand)
-Lightened flywheel
-Custom header
-Full Mazdaspeed Protegé exhaust (not too loud; nice throaty sound)
-AEM cold air intake
-FS-ZE camshaft (idle slightly lumpier than stock)
-Nology spark plug wires
-17in. BSA wheels on 205-40 Falken tires (lots of thread)
-Ractive front strut tower brace
-Window tints
The bad:
-some rust on lower rear wheel arches plus a couple surface rust spots throughout (no perforation)
-very small crack on bottom passenger side of windshield
-Radio has CD stuck in it (may be a plus if you like The Marshal Mathers LP) and radio display is 80% functional
The good:
-Very tight neutral handling, no loose suspension-steering components, great grip in summer & in winter
-Amazing shift feel; meaty clutch (clutch changed in 2012 at sime time as LSD was installed & gearbox was rebuilt with new 1st & 3rd HD gears and synchros)
-Motor pulls strong (for a 2.0)
-Good battery (2012)
-Clean interior
-NO check engine lights; full scan & ECM recalibration done 2 weeks ago
-4 winter wheels included (15in. Steelies with 185-65 fairly worn Michelins)
-Cleaner body than most other Protegé-P5s; solid floors, regularly rustproofed, uber-clean shock towers (greased), and low kms for model year

High performance Genuine Mazda rust, despite pic above:
Looking for 2750$ firm (or 3000$ nego); no issues with the car that are not described. Trade offers welcome. Just testing waters for now; not in a hurry to sell as the car runs great.
