I've owned quite a few Volvos, from 240 to 740, 940 to 960 and now my first fwd 850 T5 Sportswagon (still have a 300E Sportline benz) I inquired in regards of the cost of everything on this fwd platform before jumping on it, appart from the cost of axles, everything is the same and of course one extra spark plug lol.I always wanted to have a Swedish fun to drive car I love Saab and Volvo(I don't know exactly why! Mostly because they are a bit rare, I don't like having cars that are too common) but I am a bit scared of their reliability and cost of ownership mostly because I don't want to be screwed with mechanics (I was when I was owning Germans cars) now I am a bit more experienced with cars and basics mechanics skills and since I been owning an American car, I never had a too big to handle problem (except a coolant leak but I have found a reliable GM mechanic since then...but know that my AT start to acting up, I am looking for a replacement) I feel like that If I finally find a reliable Swedish cars specialist that can check the car before I buy it and confirm that it's will be somewhat reliable and not have big mechanical failures in the near future. Find a place that can have all the parts if I need to (rockauto maybe?) I would totally give Swedish cars a try
the c230 comes with a panoramic roof, easy acces front seats, 10 point ajustable seats, full display on cluster, white lighting, ac, heated seats, steering controls for display and radio, MPG display, exterior temp display, etc...
not saying I'll buy one... calm your vaginas for those that said likewise!! I was saying that an interior is important to m, and that volvo interior is ugly as a mother!! won't buy it even if it's declared Best car buy by every magazine... just turns out it's not even close to a good buy...
what I am asking is what are my alternatives? don't like the mazda 3... it's cheap as fuck, rusts like hell, keeps no value and takes in petrol like an irish drinks its lichor, way too fast and way too hard...
the A3 looks promising, but a bit over the budget I wanted to put in the car, especially for the dd it,s gonna be. plus not sure the 2.0t is really that fuel efficient. also, it won't be that much of a change from my current VW... goddammit! comming back protugal with a gazillion choices for hatchbacks to this shithole dominated by an american dictated market just pisses me off...
