J'ai jamais eu de trouble avec Seagate. T'as tombe sur un mauvais, ca arrive lol.

on en avait environ 10 000 a ma job, c'est des osti de drive de marde! On a phase out sa, sa fail tlt, j'en ai chez nous que j'ai achete avant de voir le resultats a la job, et meme chez nous j'en ai 3 qui sont morts sur 6.

knocks on wood, I've only had one crash where I lost a harddrive which had ONE FILE that I needed, lmao. Normally i'm semi-decent with backups
 
Raid-60 or nothing!

Raid-10 here. mirror and parity is still not the best backup solution, but its pretty high up there! (What if there is a fire? If I was that paranoid id have an off-site backup)

to be frank, if i had 2000$ to spend I would buy a tape solution on LTO-5

Nice graph. My 10 year old WD HDDs still work with no smart errors.
 
Since I had a Maxtor lose my precious information back then, I went to WD and never looked back. Even the HDD in the videotron recorders is WD.
