So yea, started my pos e90 and realized theres no gong, radio works fine but no volume... Checked all the fuses and seems to be okay. Since its a logic 7 the amps is at the back so i looked and theres an orange light. Meaning its getting some power and the connectors are in place.

Tried to disconnect the battery for a whole night. Nothing.

Please help, tired of listening to the drone.

Thanks.

I have a same problem with my bmw 135i 2008. I installed a double din dvd pioneer. Radio work very well but no sound..
I don't know if because the amp is a numeric wire!

Already had that on my E90: radio logic 7, cluster and flashers were not working. The car was running great. Checked all the fuses and everything was normal. Next morning, all was normal... Never knew the reason and never did it again the next 2,5 years. All I know: there's a recall for bad battery connexion.

Also, it's an optic fiber between your radio and amp, maybe it's broken.

Recall 61 80 13RC

SUMMARY:

BMW is recalling certain model year 2008-2012 1-Series coupes and convertibles manufactured December 2007 through July 2011; and 2007-2011 3-Series coupes and convertibles manufactured March 2007 through July 2011; 2007-2011 3-Series sedans manufactured March 2007 through October 2011; 2007-2011 3-Series sports wagons manufactured March 2007 through June 2011; and 2009-2011 Z4 vehicles manufactured March 2009 through June 2011.

The connector for the positive battery cable connector and the corresponding terminal on the fuse box may degrade over time. Over time, the high current flow and heat from electrical resistance may lead to a breakage of the connection, and a loss of electrical power to the vehicle.

CONSEQUENCE:
If there is a loss of electrical power to the vehicle, the vehicle may unexpectedly stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

REMEDY:
BMW will notify owners, and dealers will replace the positive battery cable connector and secure it with an improved method, free of charge.

Im in the same boat as you with my E63 645ci. Was told it was the amp but had an audio specialist take a look at it and said there is power going to the amp. They say its a fibre optic related issue that isnt easy to diagnose. Bimmer forums said it might be the iboc tuner.

If the radio and amp have power, but no sound at the speakers, you have a short in the speaker wiring or a shorted speaker itself.

When I was at Jalbert, we had many new E46's that had no sound thanks to a door panel screw bring put right through the wiring on the FL door during the PDI. The screw bridged both speaker wires and caused all speakers to lose all sound until the screw was removed. Remove the screw, replace the wires and bingo (this was simply an example).

Now, you can fault trace individual wires until you find the problem, OR disconnect one speaker at a time from the wire harness at the amp until sound is restored. You can also check your speakers individually with a 9V battery across both terminals to hear a BUZZ sound confirming the speaker is good.

It's a shit process and replacing those wires is a nightmare. If you've done any interior work recently near a door, door panel, trim panel that houses a tweeter or other, start there.

I ended up bringing it to BMW Laval. They diagnosed that the Amps was dead. Ordered the Logic 7 amp from Toronto, took a day to come, it was 2000$ just for the amps alone. With installation and reprogramming a total of a little bit shy of 2400$.

I have the same problem, SOS call system fail lit up on dash. No sound but everything else working. Fuses all good , CD DVD nav I drive all working. No audio on anything exept when I hit the SOS button.
