Hi everyone,

So im looking for ideas on what to purchase for next summer in this price range. Here are my criteria:

-Needs to be 2005 or OLDER
-Under 140 000km
-Price $15 000 - $20 000
-Engine under 4L
-Needs to be a 4 seater (I consider a porsche 911 a 4 seater lol)
-manual or auto, doesnt matter

Here is what I'm not willing to consider:
-Any pickup
-V70R/S60R (Owned one)
-E46 M3 (Owned one)
-Any E60
-Any E90
-STi (dont need the problems)
-EVO (Own one)
-CLK55 AMG (currently own it)

Otherwise it's a free for all. I'm considering maybe a 996 Carrera 4...still not sure and looking for ideas in this price range

do you want something turn key, or could be a project car?

RX7 with LSX motor... (on paper, it is still a 1.3L)

I'm guessing it's more a DD since the Evo is a project car already.

IS350
S-Type R
SHO
TL-S SH AWD
G37

To answer your question, no project car. I have the EVO for that lol. This is a daily that I dont want to have to touch...or almost not touch

350z ? Nice all motor power

...?

Cadillac CTS-V 2004-2005 would be a nice car to look at but its over 4L :p

C55 2005 too

Not sure if you like japanese but ive considered the acura RL 2005, 3.7L. Fits your criterias a lot but much cheaper.

So many 2005+ suggestions itt...

A nice, clean, low-miles Lexus GS400 or B5 S4 comes to mind, maybe a G35 coupe or sedan with the 6speed... RL is an unusual by great suggestion as well.

So used to reading 2005 + I missread or older criteria. Damn that's a whole other game now

Guilty....and I even asked the other guy why he suggested a 2-seater when I failed at reading also lol

2005 or older.....You don't wanna pay taxes OP, isn't it :D

I maintain the S-Type R suggestion http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/Jaguar/...1113122350730/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=11_15_18;
An uberclean GS430 would also be a nice choice http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/Lexus/G...090415103102354/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=5_15_8; http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/Lexus/G...0071001102832452/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=8_15_8
05 RL (but how reliable are they given it was the 1st year of production and 1st year of SH-AWD?)
RS6? - http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/Audi/RS+6/LAVAL/Quebec/19_8288125_/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=4_15_5 ; http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/Audi/RS...0080915094205830/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=5_15_5 (needs heavy negocitaing lol)
S4? http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/Audi/S4/SAINTE-ADÈLE/Quebec/19_8450074_/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=10_15_16 ; http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/Audi/S4...37375/?ursrc=hl&showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=13_15_16 ; http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/Audi/S4/MONTRÉAL/Quebec/19_8409033_/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=14_15_16

The budget indicates higher end cars given the year requirements and there's not that much choice out there, when eliminating the ones in the no go list. Unfortunately, I think after a CLK55, you can only go down lol.

Agreed. Plus the 4 liter max displacement makes it real hard to find proper candidates... It eliminates the 4.2 audis which would friggin rock, and is also the reason I put a GS400 instead of the 430... Tempted to add all kinds of 90s classics too, such as E36 M3, Z32 TT 4seater (JDM), URS4/6, FD3S, etc., but then reliability takes the door out if not absolutely mint & preventively maintained...

s-type r must be a real pita... base jaguar are pita.

And there's no Tl-s sh-awd, just Tl sh-awd.

Pay the little extra on plate and get an m5 e39 or 5-series e60

You think that he's that strict on the 4.0 requirement not to consider 4.2-4.3s? I guess OP should clarify.
