Looking to buy Golf Mk7: what to look out for

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a Golf Mk7 (VII), TDI or 2.5 as they seem to be the most common on the market, used and around the year 2012. I'm in an Audi myself currently, and this golf will be used as a work vehicle, to be driven with very high mileage, probably 40,000km per year. Can you guys point me in the right direction concerning maintenance, known problems, and what to look out for when making a purchase of this vehicle.
 
I think he means Mk6. I was about to post a thread about this... Looking at GTI's myself as a 2nd car but am debating getting a new Mk7 or an almost-new Mk6.
 
If it's a MK7 then get a 1.8Tsi. Cheaper than TDi price wise, fuel and maintenance as well.

Not really any issues with the MK7.
