Tony Transfer... Legit for expired plates?

i think we've all heard of a friend of a friends cousin's second uncle who used the service.

But has anyone ACTUALLY used it for expired plates?

Scenario:
My track car is NOT a street car, and never will be again, but, the ability to drive to the track and not have to use a trailer, is huge and underestimated. I wasn't paying attention and let the plates expire from being in storage too long. Now, it needs a SAAQ inspection to get her plates again.

Apparently, Tony Transfer is the way to go to get around the inspection. Is this legit?

yes its work . Any ppl with dealer licanse can do that . if you have a friend who is dealer , he can do that to . Tony is just 1 from 6747487585656 ppl around quebec . i did my bmw 535i with another guy from quebec . He transfered my car on his name as if i sold to him , and he write me a paper as he sold to me with 2 days diffirance . i passed by saaq give his paper , they registrate and my car was again on the road !!!! i had same problem as you . my car plate was expired . But all this work only with quebec cars . You cant do same way if you bring car from ontario and you need a pass inspection . For that you have another dudes who join the team :D

Only becareful , that you need a pay taxes if your car is less then 10 years .

Je l'ai appelé récemment, pour plaquer une moto qui était en remisage depuis 20 ans.

Je lui demandais s'il pouvait m'éviter l'inspection, mais lui il me répondait "fais-la inspecter et après je vais faire le transfert". Je lui répondais : non, c'est l'inspection que je veux bypasser, c'est pour ça que je t'appelle. Il répondait encore: il faut que tu la fasses inspecter.

On ne se comprenait pas, j'ai raccroché.

Comme meanteg dit, je crois pas qu'il fait encore la crosse de l'inspection. Il fait juste des transferts sans passer par la SAAQ (mettons un dimanche après midi) quand tu vends une auto et il charge 100$. C'est légal. Il se serait fait pogner depuis longtemps s'il faisait bypasser l'inspection à tout le monde qui l'appelle.

Et Tony Transfer ils sont plusieurs gars maintenant il me semble.

Does it work for bikes too? I have a chance to get a bike for free but needs inspection.
 
Wow lots of replies, perfect information, thank you. I have a friend that owns a used car dealership. He thinks the time required inspection can be erased if I transfer him the car for a few days. I'll call Tony Transfer and see what he says, but will also ask my friend to confirm before doing it for no reason. I'll update the thread tomorrow after I speak to them.

Merci les gars, j'apprécie l'information énormément. Je vais faire un mise a jour du thread après avoir parler a Tony Transfer. Un chum est propriétaire d'un concessionnaire de voiture d'occasion et il croit que lui transférer la bolide pour quelques jours pourrait effacer le besoin d'une inspection du au temps écrouler. Je vais lui demander de s'informer plus en détail afin de régler ça au plus sacrent. Je vous donne des nouvelles demain en après midi.

J'ai fait affaire avec Tony l'an passé, super satisfait. ma moto était remisée depuis 3 ans.
 
To be honest, I had absolutely no time to call them last week. Monday's aren't usually too busy so I'll phone over lunch.

As-tu fait affaire avec lui? Parce que suite à lui avoir parlé directement au téléphone ce n'est pas ce qu'il semblait dire. Ne le prend pas mal mais j'aimerais avoir la réponse de OBPX.

Oui j'ai faite affaire avec lui cette hiver pour un beater.
Il ta surement dit non car il savais pas a qui il avais affaire.

Ça fait du sens qu'il n'en parle pas ouvertement avec un étranger au téléphone. Merci .
