I spend a lot more time then most around these cars. My buddy got his 1972 Chevelle at 16 and I've been around them ever since. Buddy of mine picked up a 1968 Pontiac Beaumont 396 HD (same as a chevelle but Canada only) 3 years ago for 7500$ That car is worth a pretty penny now.

a high school friend had one (Beaumont) at 17 in late 99/early 00. he beat the shit out of it lol paid 5000 for it, was in mint condition but he went through motor+tranny real quick. never saw him after that but my 2 cents tell me he got rid of it.

and there's another guy down my street as a kid who bought a 72 or 72 Roadrunner 440 in his early 20s, beat the crap out of it but still has it today, albeit not mint but in good shape. fat tire, raised backend, lower front. looks & sound fucking wild.

dude all I gotta say is be nice to those old people. My friends dad has 20-30 cars hidden all over the place. There is a 1958 Corvette sitting in his garage since the 1970s. He took it apart to paint it and its been there ever since. Monte Carlo SS, Laguna Secas, Corvettes, 30ès stuff, tons of crap!. The guy is in his 60s he will never finish them but I know who his sons will look up to get rid of them.
