I am posting my car up for sale. It is a complete running Ls1 Swap. It does not leak. I built it 4 years ago and barely drove it. Have driven around 5000kms since finishing the swap. I took it on a road trip right after I built it to Ocean City, MD and it held together with no issues.
The car was originally an automatic that mostly sat outside and was rarely winter driven. I bought it for $3000 and decided to do something special. My goal was to make a car that would be fast and RELIABLE. And a car I could drive every day in summer. I now have around $25000 in to the car because LSx swaps are not cheap!
The car actually gets 500-600kms a tank when driving on the highway. It sits around 2500rpm at 120km/hr.
The car has not been dyno'd but similar setup puts about 360-380whp.
I get LOTS of attention with the car, it's quick, it sounds amazing, and looks great. All pictures were taken in the last 30 days. I am currently daily driving it.
All the bumpers and trim are OEM. The headlights are from eBay.
Interior has OEM Vader seats (no rips)
3 Spoke OEM steering wheel from Europe with airbag
Bluetooth usb stereo with a Boston Acoustics 10" sub in the trunk
Body has 190k kms
The LS1 drop with T56 is from a 01 SS which had 69k miles.
All parts were bought from the US. The swap was done 4 years ago, but I haven't driven it in over 2 years. Have about 5000kms since the swap.
Because the LS motors are aluminum block vs the cast iron BMW used, the swap only adds about 50-60lbs. This would be a monster on the track.
All factory gauges work including the check engine line, fuel economy gauge, speedo. Car looks like a stock M3 inside.
Engine:
- Texas Speed 228r Camshaft 114lsa (made by Comp)
- LS6 Intake manifold
- LS7 lifters
- Monster Stage 2 clutch
- BMW 3.91 LSD (from an earlier E36)
- Texas Speed Mail in Tune
- JTR mounts and ceramic coated Sanderson headers (spec'd by JTR)
- all the maintenance items (timing chain, gaskets, seals) were done when the motor was apart.
- AC compressor is installed, just need custom AC hoses
- ABS deleted
- T56 6 Speed Camaro Transmission
Suspension:
- FK Coilovers, new strut mounts/hardware, car rides very smooth
Wheels:
- Staggered M- System II Forged wheels. Throwing star faces and I also have the turbine faces! Complete setup. The lips were professionally polished. I have $3000 in the wheels + tires alone.
- Falken tires with very little use (3000 miles). No uneven wear.
The bad:
- One of the rear jack points collapsed. My fault, I put way too much weight on it while trying to get all 4 wheels in the air. I also left the rear jacked on the rear jack points for a few months. This weakened it and it bent in.
- Light scrape on the driver rear quarter panel (this should “buff” out):

- Check engine light is on for the Knock Sensor
- Rust bubbles at the end of the rockers:

The car is very easy to work on. You can get the transmission out in 3 hours without a hoist...The whole motor can be removed in a few hours as well. It's very straightforward and has no rusty bolts!
Car passes emission test.
Paint is original.
