Depends when he bought them. If it was when cdn vs USD was dollar for dollar then yes.
With today's exchange rate you can pretty much ignore what people say they paid for their coilovers in the past.

I ordered my ST's 2 weeks ago at Fifteen52 in California for $725 US shipped to NY and went to pick them up. It came to approx. 1,130$ CAD taxes and duties included. I was getting a price of 1,150$ + taxes at a local shop and it was still cheaper to pick them up in the US

Yep, you could grease them with white lithium grease. I'll be running my H&R coilovers for the next 2 winters and I'll grease it all around with that stuff.
