Best time to buy a used car?

Hey guys,

I need to buy a used car by around the spring. Am I better off buying something during the winter months (better deals) or waiting until spring to get something?

I'm looking to get a secondhand small SUV in the $15K range

i just bought an 05 touareg yesterday for 7k. the owner was asking 9k. its really a matter of what kind of deal can you get
