C'est dans les plans de déménager en Ontario ou l'ouest Canadien la ou il y a moins de corruption, collusion et qu'on rit moins des citoyens payeurs de taxes.
Lol, I thought BC would be the Beautiful British Columbia you see advertised everywhere. Turns out BC stands for Bring Cash, nothing else. The largest city in BC has half the population that Montreal has. Poorly organized political parties, corruption (just google ICBC), cost of living is damn high people can't afford to work (yes, that is a thing), rent is so expensive it's cheaper to buy an overpriced house if you have a downpayment, and the list goes on and on and on.
I love it here but it's poisonous. I live in the third biggest city in the province and it's filled with scum, theres a HUUUUGE cocaine problem, the DUI rates are the second highest in the country in this city.
There is no culture at all, like montreal is filled with culture and history and that is a wonderful thing. Here, not a chance.
I'd stay in Quebec man haha.
My 2006 honda civic costs me 150$ a month for insurance: 1mil liability 1000$ deductible, comprehensive fire/theft 300$ deductible, no collision because that brings it up to 250$ a month.
Gas is the highest in the country.
Groceries are probably 15% more expensive.
Alcohol is 20% more expensive.
Average rent in shitholes is 1000$ a month.
And the list goes on and on and on.
Oh, also, quebecers are the most hated people on the face of this part of the country. Nobody knows I’m from Montreal except for close friends. You can’t tell I’m from Quebec as I don’t have an accent when I speak English but still... the stupid cherry pickers give the quebecois a horrible reputation. If you think there is no collusion out west, you’re wrong. Why do you think the vacancy rate in Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna are below 1% and the price of housing is 30-40% over evaluation value? Exactly what you’re trying to run away from.
Alberta is filled with nice things but for some reason the uneducated redneck conservatives all come from there. They all hate quebecois, think that “Alberta” pays for Quebec with equilisation payments (you can argue with me about this, poli-sci major, albertans are wrong).
West coast best coast is bullshit.
Over 1000 fentanyl overdoses in the past few months, people here are fucked up imho. They have no knowledge whatsoever about their own country, unlike Québec who teaches this stuff in school.
The education system is actually shit compared to what Québec has to offer.
Understanding common law is shit once you’ve lived your whole life in civil if you ever have litigations to deal with.
Also good fucking luck finding a job, I’m ready to bet you that BC residents are the most indebted people in Canada.
But sure, come to Western Canada hahaha.
I love hiking, nature, all things that BC offers that Québec doesn’t... I still think about coming back full time.
But with that being said, the skiing makes it somewhat worth it.
