Thought id share some more pictures and a small update..

Soo about 1 month ago at the begining of May, there is a compagny that makes carbon fiber Heckblendes for all older VWs that came out with a design for MK4 jetta...when I saw that I knew I wanted one(im a big fan of heckblendes on any car). This was never available for mk4 jetta altho Hella made them for mk4 golfs.

The original design was based on the red euro tails..since I had the Hella Magix clear I got in touch with the owner and I came up with my own design that was based on the mk3 Votex heckblendes. He then had it made and delivered for me before eurokracy!

Here are the pics..

Meanwhile 1 week before eurokracy 2 out of 3 turbo to downpipe studs broke on my car...i also noticed on the last stud that the cooper nuts i had used were no longer there and replaced with a regular steel nut by the last shop that touched it...hopefully i fixed all their issues...

Anyways remobed the turbo and drilled out the 3 studs and put in all new hardware and gaskets...
That sucked.

Anyways here are some more pictures of the car because why not!

Next I was able to pickup a R32 Dashboard from QC city 2 weeks ago. This is going into my pile of interior parts at home which i plan to install for next year(also includes gli black interior, new full carpet and new better condition trim pieces).

This monday I got back from H2Oi. Was a blast as usuall but i did get into my first breakdown in almost 3years with the car..i was down in OCMD for 6 days...but on my 3rd day I blew the hotside turbo seal on my car...it just let go all of a sudden(i did have a feeling due to slight unusual smoke on idle)

Luckly I had my buddy that towed 2 cars down and only had to bring one back soo I got a ride back home :)

As for the car I already washed It and put it on its storage wheels and parked with the cover on it. I plan pull the engine out in the next week or 2 and send the turbo out for rebuild. While the engine is out I will be tucking all the wiring and relocating many things to get a much cleaner bay.

Here are some pics from h2oi #SENDIT :

This could have left you stranded on the side of the road, nice catch! How are the engine/trans mount, any plans for those while the engine out?

yeah really was..noticed it was wet in that area when I removed the pipe...after blasting all the surface rust the hole emerged. its also a big paint to remove that pipe..I couldnt imagine doing it while the engine is in the car :run:

I will probably have my buddy blast the mounts for me and paint them silver..or maybe wirebush them and keep that finish.

The valve cover/ injector holders/ injector lines will be polished.

A few update picture as it has beena while...

Ill start with some of the polishings I did,and the process to shave the dimples off the valve cover..was a lot of work annd would eventually like to try to make another..since i think the valve cover i used was probably not a great base to begin with.

More progress..cleaning the 18years worth of dirt out and starting the wiring/pinning my connector.

Also not in the pictures, I passed my 1/0 gauge wire from the starter to the trunk(battery location) aswell as 2 other 6 gauge power wires through a factory hole in the frame rail...they run into the cabin from a factory drain plug around the pedal cluster.
The battery fusebox is relocated into the cabin aswell and I have used a 4 gauge wire that runs along the other battery cable all the way to the trunk. For the battery cables i used these neat compression fitting terminals..soo no need for some nasty soldering in the car.
