My MK4 TDI

tbh i'm never impressed when his albums come out (i remember hating Nothing was the same when it came out), but they always grow on me and come to love them after a few days.

yeah i guess same thing..but this some seemed to be overly "hyped up"..
anyways on another note i just transferred ownership of my car..will transfer it back thursday or friday, meanwhile its on storage under new owners name..lets see if this thing actually works.. should give me some spare time to do a few things on the car like remove all the old tint, install my catch can and the new intercooler couplers and clamps
 
They would of probably require him to reinstall stock suspension, stock wheels, a muffler and other bits That they would of found on the inspection.
 
Why didnt you just go "pass" an inspection wouldnt have been cheaper then the 400$ ticket??

because just getting a cat and muffler installed +inspection fees will cost more...and honestly its more the hassle than anything else..ive been in for 2 inspections..wheels and coilovers arent a problem since they are all legal. ive heard of some people getting lucky and not ever getting the ticket after over a year...from what i understand..the police officer has to manually report after 48hrs that ive not gone to get my car inspected and therefore ill get a ticket.. if the officer dosent report it i guess thats how people never receive anything...he will just go in the system and see the car is sold..
 
Ok well thought id update this thread since its been a while..

My wheelbearing started making noises on the front driver side, soo i picked up a full 1.8t/vr6 brake conversion to upgrade the shitty tdi/2.0 ones..
Pressed new bearings in and cleaned everything up good+paint.
Also put in new balljoints..

I also started getting a lot of axle bind after putting in a new axle..soo i realigned the engine towards the passenger aide to fix the issue

Besides that i started getting a very bad rattle..at first i thought it was the heatshield that was half loose..soo i ripped it out(if you own a mk4 its the long one that goes over and around the rear beam..was a bitch to get out..)

But the rattle was still there...started the car up and went under it to find out both the rubber hanger bushings holding the exhaust in place under the center exhaust crossmember were shot..soo replaced those aswell(no pics but there was barely anything left of those bushings)..now the rattle is fixed!

Next issue is my oil return line..im going to have to remove the oil pan and redo the oil return because its a hack job and has a leak from both ends..but that will wait untill my next oilchange..

Ill also be picking up a watermeth injection kit since my egts are wayy too high in the warm weather when i try to go full throttle..

No but my front struts are getting soft..might get koni inserts with adjsutable dampening and put them inside my fk coilover bodies..

Id like to be lower but i need a fram knotch, engine mount spacers and a oem or 4 motion lip since gli is too low..

But that will deff not happen this year..

the engine spaces are my next upgrade as well and while im there ill do the full stage 2 BFI mounts

BTW who made your skid plate?...it looks alot like mine hahah

watch out with engine spacer you may need a frame notch..and its a evolution skid plate.
 
Alright soo time for another small update..

Soo firstly ill share this over here..altho its been in other threads already, i purchased a 1999 (1999.5) Bora 4motion TDI with a PD115 engine...this is not replacing the jetta but just beeing my daily. Its 100% stock except for the rear adjustable links and ST Coilovers.

got it aligned and spend a weekend pulling the seats out of both my cars and "Steam" cleaning them all (carpets, seats, matts, trunk)

as you probably guessed it..i didnt take the Jetta to eurokracy since it wasnt ready.. the clutch was picking up low all of a sudden..i thought it was a bent clutch lever, so i removed the trans to find out everything was fine. after inspecting the clutch and pressure plate i put everything back together and replaced both the clutch master and slave..i wasnt able to figure out how to bleed the damn thing before the show soo i took the Bora. bleed the clutch on Monday and everything was fine! Besides that not much has been going on with it soo here is a random pic from yesterday...

Time to bring this back to life.

So last summer I stopped updating after Eurokracy.

I ended up going to Waterfest in NJ and also to H20i in Maryland.

Your car makes me miss my MK4 Jetta TDI... god I loved it but sold it at the right time before disaster happened :D

Sorry I didn't follow the whole thread, you also own this wagon TDI as well? A fucken' TDI 4 Motion manual 6 spds?
