I was there ! Race engineer on the Zakspeed Nissan GTR GT3.
When it started SNOWING at one end of the track, it was 18 Celsius and sunny on the pit wall. Insane place, completely crazy. Some teams got caught out with the snow but we were OK, we just stopped on track during the red flag. When I first saw it on the screen I thought it was torrential rain and the sand traps were emptying sand / rocks on the track, turns out it was a full blown hailstorm. They red flagged the race for over 2hours and waited for the snow / hail to melt.
Unfortunately we had a mechanical DNF about 14hrs into the race. The official NISMO car finished the race in P11. Was an insane weekend, I slept 15 hours in 4 days...

You honestly have one of the coolest jobs in the world, It must suck getting less than 4 hours of sleep a day but im sure its worth it in the end!
