C'est rien de nouveau, c'est un setup turbo sequentiel. Un petit turbo pour spoolé vite @lowRPM pi un gros turbo pour avoir du boost @highRPM.

The issue with this design is it can never completely isolate either the low or high pressure side, forcing inlet design compromises, which in turn can impair low end performance and result in higher pumping loses. GM’s new system proposes to eliminate the compromise.
