Dealership called to buy my car back

The dealership called me today asking if I'd be interested in selling back my '13 Civic Si.

TBH, I don't have much interest in selling it. I love the car and had planned to keep it 10+ years. Also, with the gen X CTR missing in action, nothing currently in the Honda line up is worth trading into.

Are there any potential gains for me that I'm missing? Right now i feel as if they're only trying to make a buck off me and I should tell 'em to F off.

Anybody been in this situation before?

Good for them, good for me...pour l'acheteur je sais pas, il aurait pu tomber sur un char moins battu lol.

Thanks everyone. I figured it was a sales tactic, just wanted to know if there was any way to benefit.

Did some research, Honda Canada seems to be smoking the crack pipe because their certified used Si's are going for stupid money, like $23,000+ for 2014 and newer with 50,000km on the odometer. I only have about 25,000km on mine.

I'm going in to see what they offer me. Figure if they offer $20-22k with the taxes back, I doubt it but it would have been as if I leased the car for less than $200/month.

Prices are going to stay high until the new 2017 Civic Si comes out next summer.

I was being offered 20 000$ for my 2014 Civic Si (Albi Honda) with 30,000km in october 2015 FYI.

If you can get a decent amount for it...why not....it's always better to shop when not under pressure...and you don't need to change....then you have the right standing point to negotiate

In some cases it can be a good deal.

For example, for the last few months and still, pickup trucks are exported to the US. There are buyers there because the money exchange is good for them.

People are trading-in their 1 or 2 y.o. truck for a brand new one for next to nothing in return.

BUT, often it is just a way for the dealership to get your in and sell you a new car that you don't need.
