Sketching the floor plan of a basement, how to call and how much is it?

Looking into buying a Duplex and converting the basement into an apartment (cause I'm pretty sure there used to be one.)
Who would I call to sketch a floor plan, and how much does something like that cost? I need one for the city.

I already know based on zoning, it's allowed. It has an independent exit.
 
Appel une Designer d'intérieur, elle va te faire des plans et c'est généralement pas trop dispendieux. Si tu étais sur la Rive Nord je te conseillerais ma copine mais ça commence à être loin St-Hubert/Repentigny
 
Donc un désigner intérieur ça marches? Je croyais devoir avoir affaire avec un arpenteur ou qqc comme ça...
 
Ma blonde fait des aménagements d'espace via autocad, elle s'occupe autant de la plomberie/ventilation/électricité que du management d'espace et c'est valable pour l'obtention de permis de la ville pour rénovation, du moins ici ! Je sais pas si certaines villes ont des restrictions...
 
We are renovating our basement too. We did the sketch ourselves and the contractor sent it to the city of Westmount. They're a pain in the ass but they accepted it.

Fait chier que c'est trop loin! Je m'y connais pas trop au sujet.

Je pense lancer une offre d'achat basé sur la conversion du duplex en triplex, j'ai juste aucune idée comment m'y prendre, puis disons que la ville font juste te donner des formulaire et des fiches. lol

I thought you needed some fancy ass architect sketch? It's just for the Ville de Longueuil on my part. I have a feeling they're much ghettoer than Westmount.
 
I have to figure out all the laws for % of windows and all that shit, and generally, I'm good at figuring things out, I just have no clue where to start. I've never done anything like this. I moved from my parents' house to a freshly built condo. lol
 
Get a designer or ( specialiste en system intérieur) then submit your plan to the city, have it approved and respect the code of the build plan and build it. I can refer you to a good contractor if you need.

chanceux, ici ça prend un plan d'un technologue avec le sceau , même pour une réno de 15-20k , une vrai joke

Demande à la ville tu as besoin de quel professionnel... c'est rare les villes qui acceptent des plans d'aménagement pour un nouveau logement avec juste un plan de "designeuse" d'intérieur. Il y a des considérations de Code du bâtiment au niveau de la sécurité qui sont pas pantoute leur dada...

Aussi, pour créer une nouvelle adresse, je serais pas surpris qu'un plan d'arpentage "à jour" soit nécessaire par plusieurs municipalités.
 
FYI I used an architect and he charged me 1500$ for the floor plans to a basement. As I wasn't making an apartment or anything, I didn't need a permit but wanted to make sure I effectively used the space and respected the basic codes (I put in massive windows in the basement 4x8).
