Je pense à faire ce thread depuis quelques temps déjà, but never got around it. It's a slow Friday, so here it is.
In this thread, post pictures of normal, generic, accessible, affordable cars you've dreamed of but never owned. Here are mine.
1. Honda Civic Si Hatchback 1992-1995.
Before tuning and trends and whatever, I've always been a fan of this little car. They were reliable, practical and awesome looking, they were simply super desirable. Plus a hot high-school friend and neighbour of mine had one and I always dreamed of having sex with her in her car - she's one of the few that got away, the girl and the car.
2. Ponciac Sunfire GT 1st Gen
I admit they did not age well, but back in 1997 when I first got my licence, I always thought they were good-looking cars. Considering how many were sold, I probably was not the only one.
I also could mention the Chevy twin, the Cavalier Z24
3. Acura TSX 1st Gen (2004-2008)
A friend of mine owned one, and since day I always loved how well-put the car was: the exterior is a great combo of look and performance, the interior is astonishing and the responsiveness of the engine made it a great overall car. And an obvious bonus - they were tanks in terms of reliability.
(not a stock one obviously, but it just shows how awesome the car can look with mags - I know there's more to it, but you get the idea).
4. Volkswagen Golf GTI
I've owned two Passat, I learned how to drive with a 1992 turbo-diesel Jetta, I still own a German car - yeah, I love VW. I've always dreamed of owning a Golf GTI, but never owned one. I list the MK6 simply because after owning a 2008.5 Mazda 3 GT, I went with a Subaru WRX STI and I still deeply regret that decision rather than moving to a GTI. The car is fun, well-finished, nimble, and it's a legend. I still secretly dream of owning one today...
Of course I could mention the Golf R, but I've always had a thing for the GTI, so I'll stick to it for the sake of this thread.
All right, your turn now!
