Microsoft PHones, impressed, for business ?

Hello

Basically, i bought a Lumia 650 for my mom, (yesyes im cheap... should have bought a 1000$ 6Splus )

seriously impressed by this phone, i even set up the Tiles, with some very cool shortcut for her,

Note it was on sale for 150 $! i mean why buy a used iphone 5 beaten up, when you van get this phone ?

Anyone here rocking a MS phone ? any guys here using them for business ? with all the office apps and such ? i dont know anyone with one hahaha , they must be doing horrible

I have one ( Nokia 1020, incredible camera ).

Plenty of people have some at my work ( IT related ).

I like Windows Phone, it's a shame that no carrier has them anymore.

It's obviously lacking apps. I'm not an app freak so I'm really not missing anything to be honest. There's even a Tinder rip off called Timber, it works fine lol.

Apps are lacking or always crashing
Phone speaker broke on it 3 times.
Okay camera.

Its my second one and my last one also.

You have one as in a Lumia 650?

which app do you think is missing ?
 
First few years I had a smartphone I had no apps on it (blackberry)

But now I have a bunch and I use all of them, I would not want a phone with such poor app ecosystem.

I have the RM-985

Not necessarily missing but more the lack of update. Lets so go with fb.

On my android tablet I can see the for sale post. On the Windows I can't see anything so I gotta use the browser version which suck.

Look at Pokemon go that is the biggest trend these day. It's not on windows and probably never will. Nit that I care but it those little thing that killed the phone for me.

App designer just don't care about the WP user so they never bring anything over.

6tin permet de swipe back gratuitement si tu as swipe a gauche trop vite, encore mieux que tinder. Jai un Nokia 635, écran bof et pas beaucoup de ram mais très heureux overall pour le prix.

Mais y'a Candy Crunch !!

Lol sérieusement y'a pas grand chose qui me manque sur windows phone...vu que jme calice de pokemon go.

Le GPS de Nokia c'est le best (mais jpense y vont arrêter dle faire, heh). La base pour le bureau genre email, excel, .pdf, onedrive, c'est super. C'est sûre que pour se brancher sur Exchange c'est assez champion.

La seule affaire c'est que ça prend une app pour la flashlight....ça c'est cave !

En faite mon seul problème là c'est que mon contrat est fini et y'en ont plus....je prendrais bien un neuf unlock mais, c'est la job qui paye mon bill de cell, si j'achète un appareil moi-même va falloir je le paye au lieu de l'amortir sur les factures....jsais pas quoi faire. On dirait que je veux pas downgrader de caméra...42 megapixel ftw !

Ma te vendre le mien lol.

Fyi si tu t'inscrit au Windows insider pour avoir Windows 10 sur ton cell tu a pu besoin de l'application de flashlight, par contre ton cell va crasher a chaque 5 minutes lol faire ce move la ca la été ma pire idée ever. Une chance que tu peux rétrograder a 8.1.

Je me fou de Pokémon go aussi. Mon point étais plus que les WP sont abandonner de tlm.

Indeed , je traderais pas mon S6 pour un Lumia, ya des choses que je veux garder

MAIS , je trouve vraiment que pour 150$ ta rien d'autre ! .... pour ma mère que, 4-5 jeu Microsoft bien fait, weather, converter, SKype, OneDrive, flashlight et un belle écran 5'', caméra correct etc... c'ESt la seul chose qu' elle a besoin

x2. The hardware is a commodity, it is the O/S and apps that make the device usable. Windows phone *td*

Yeah and then one day, her friend tells of this super cool cooking app and she calls you all like "Son, can you install that simple app all my friends use?"... do you really wanna be "that son" that breaks the news on his mother that you got her a cheap ass phone that can't do shit?

Shop for a last Gen Android instead IMO.

Trust me it will happen.

Bah , the last phone was a htc 8X that rogers gave away . it was an amazing phone

took me 3,5 years to teach her how to use it , shes an old immigrant whachuwant.
, didnt want to teach her android at this point ,

she'll be fine ,

J'ai pas upgradé, je perd pas gros de temps sur un cell...faut juste ça marche. Pis oui c'est triste que ça soit à l'abandon de même. Perso j'aime bien l'écosystème de Microsoft en général...j'ai pas envie de transférer mes trucs dans Google ou Icloud....mon ordi est windows et idéalement mes appareils le seraient aussi...mais bon, that's life.
