Just realized you ordered one. I understand your displeasure with my comments. Enjoy your 85/15 non-slip split and your marketing stickers.
Also as someone buying the car you should look into what the Haldex system in the RS3 can do before spreading misinformation. The RS3 Haldex is limited to what the actual transfer case can output. It's capped at 50%. But seeing as you bought into their other marketing bits and bobs, it doesn't surprise me that when Audi says that 100% of power can be sent to the rear you interpret that as from the motor and not the transfer case.
Enjoy your weekend.

I hate my haldex so much : ((((((((( Oh and the fact I actually manage 8L/100km suuuuuck
Be serious for a sec. It for sure ain't a torsen but drive one before saying anything. We're far from the Gen 1 haldex my friend.
I love the Golf R. I'm actually considering one for my next car in 2018. At ~$40K Canadian its a fantastic value. I have never taken exception to the Haldex system. My beef is with the RS3, it's ~$65k base Canadian price tag, and Audi's audacity to spell out quattro on the bumper. If you go to the build an RS3 page on Audi.ca they show you this image to explain the AWD system. They are bullshitting people and cashing in on a once great moniker.

you talk shit, you probably never even drove one, you just report what you read about a 15 years old haldex on a MK4 Golf R32. Torsen is heavy, destroys MPG and forces engines to be mounted in a way they create large amount of understeer.
I know what you mean but they did it long time ago with the TT too..
Anyway I must admit that 65k is a bit high for my taste too but they have no choice since the S4 is 58k.. 55K-60K Base would sound more interesting since the R and S3 are not far away for 20k less.. You sure don't get de 5cyl and the RS prestige but...
