T.A.G. system is reliable ? insurance price will drop ? My friend wants to protect his Subaru WRX 2015
the thief can remove the GPS system.

I heard is pretty easy to remove/track. It emits a signal so any experienced thief will be able to find the emitter.

I installed in my wife's tsx. It was 200 $ instl, but 15$/month insurance reduction. It's worth it after a year or so.
 
as far as I'm concerned.....if the thieves take it....i don't want it back.

Kinda like the whole football team fucking your hot cheerleader GF.

therefor.... no tracking device....on any of my cars!

I have tag on my car.

It costed like 120$ and I had a discount of 120$ on my insurance.

Lol...Les "émetteurs" sont gros comme une graine de riz, et il y en a 5 dans le char, bonne chan.

Les voleurs qui savent moindrement ce qu'ils font ne touchent tout simplement pas aux chars avec TAG, ca vaut la peine.
 
J'avais un TAG sur ma GTI, comme *VR6* a dit y'a 5 émetteurs installés partout dans le char + une gravure sur tes fenêtres avant. Ca changera peut-être pas l'avis du voleur qui voudra prendre ton char mais c'est dissuasif et ca peut te sauver une vol quand même et tes assurances baissent du même coup

Wrong.
Les emmeteurs sont beaucoup plos gros que ca...je ne sais pas a quoi comparer. La moitie d'un clef VW recent ar exemple. Et il y a un emetteur, qui a une antenne, donc il est + gros que ls autres.
Et chaque kit est different, ils puevent avoir 5 ou 7 emetteurs dedans.
C"est l'installateur qui decide ou installer les emetteurs, donc dans chaque marque, ou je dirais meme quasiment dans chaque auto, c'est une place differente.
 
Oui en effet les émetteurs sont assez gros comme une batterie D, les plus petits sont dissimulés dans des pièces et si la voiture est démonté ils peuvent le savoir a courte distance (RFID)

I am just curious though. With my insurance company, a tracking device is mandatory for all cars with fair market value of $100k or more. It is not even an option. What is your insurance company?

Edit: My girl who takes care of this stuff for me just got back to me....she told me that she insured different cars with different companies, specifically to avoid the tracking devices ( she knows I won't tolerate it) . My trucks and SUVs are insured with pro mutual, some of the cars are with intact and the rest of them are with the guarantee.

So much is the installation ? $120? $200? $350?

How did you guys manage to pay 100-120 when tag charges $350 ?

I just bought a new car that had tag installed when new. I called tag and they are charging me $100 to extend the original contract until 2020 + transfer of ownership for $100

My insurance company gives me a discount of $18/year if I get Tag
 
The dealer will take a cut obviously, like they do with every service. Intact required a TAG on my car but when I switched insurer, it wasn't required. I don't know for $100K+ car but it's always a good thing to have.
 
I just bought a new Porsche and my insurance requires a TAG. I don't have time to call around other insurance companies, so where is a good place to have this thing installed?
