Fyi, it require physical ability like power, speed, coordination and cardio. But you play for 3 period. Meanwhile your opponent can serioulsly hurt you thourgh checking unlike basketball. just to add a bit of juice it happen on metal blades sliding on ice so at about 5x time the speed of any other sport. and if someone is not happy, they might beat the shit out of you. What part you don't like?
 
You need to find a player you love to watch and try to watch is game. For myself, I love so much McDavid and Crosby. So I try to watch many hockey game I can and I enjoy that.

The other thing, now in hockey, it's all about details, you don't have like 10 years ago, a lot of player doing a coast to coast with the puck and scoring a net. Now it's all about detail, how the player turn is skate in front of the net to deflect the puck, and to get position in a foot race, where to put your stick and etc.

best exemple would be Jagr. he train the fuck out to stay in shape/on top and he does it well i guess given his age. this is determination to me.
 
j'ai une confession que je pourrais faire dans le thread pour ca mais bon... j'ai jamais jouer au hockey de ma vie, quand je dit jamais, même pas dans la rue 0 Fck all. J'ai jamais tenu un baton d'hockey dans mes mains...
