Rdx/q5

Hi guys,

Looking to get a winter vehicle, and am now debating between a 2010 Acura RDX and a 2010 Audi Q5.

From what I read online, RDX seems somewhat reliable. What about the Q5? How reliable is the 3.2L?

Any other suggestions?
 
un rdx 2010 sa date un peu au niveau du look...comparer a un q5...par contre pas mal certain que c'est plus fiable...puis il me semble que les q5 sont plus chere.
 
Anything else I may have missed then?
Looking for something somewhat practical, ideally a hatch or suv for under 10k-15k, even better if it's less since it'll be a winter car.

Has to be automatic and I'd like something that has at least a little go to it
 
J'ai aucun problème à augmenter le budget un peu s'il faut, j'aimerais juste mieux rester dans ces prix-là.
 
Une q5 c'est 30,000 $ si tu veux qu'il soit cpo sinon je ne toucherais pas à ça.

J'ai un Q5 2011 (2.0T) et si je n'avais pas de garantie, je n'y aurais pas touché...surtout quand tu le finances.

J'ai acheté le mien à 100,000 kms en 2014 et il en a 165,000 en ce moment : 0 troubles.

Comme les autres ont dit, touche pas aux 3.2L...ce n'est pas les meilleurs mécaniques pour le Q5...(il n'y en a à peu près pas sur la route, juste pour te donner une idée).

Les 1ères generations de 2.0T ont été problématiques pour la consummation d'huile excessive (2011 à 2012.5) mais après ça, à peu près plus rien.

Des Q5, il y en a partout...mais leur valeur est encore très haute....faut vraiment les magasiner pour trouver un deal...! Selon moi (sans être "biased"), le Q5 est supérieur au RDX car il a une excellente transmission 8 vitesses, le Quattro qui est plus que formidable, une finition soignée (peu importe la trim), un design selon moi plus elegant, etc.

i used to drive an older rdx. was bought new . it was reliable . But it was unrefined, ride was very harsh. Transmission was clunky and the gas mileage was TERRIBLE .
 
Thanks for all the answers guys. I went to try both of them out, and wasn't too pleased.

I'll be looking at newer models or a lease instead.

It looks awesome...they really put everything in this new model as it sells like hot cakes. The new Quattro Ultra seems the state of the art of AWD and the full LCD display is really sick...!

And I think the engine was revised (more powerful, more economical) and the price was not increased much compared to last MY.

Why not a x3 28i? Probably cheaper and "fun" to drive. Venza is more boring but probably a good purchase too, interior is roomy and comfortable.
 
Didn't know there was a new Q5, I'll have to take a look depending on the cost..

Venza is out, not my cup of tea. X3 is in the run as wel, trying one out later on this week.

You realize that you talked about a 15k car are now looking at a brand new 50k Q5? Audi isn't Hyundai or Nissan 0% 84 mois + 5000$ de rabais, pneus d'hiver inclus et gratteux Esso.
 
Je comprend pas moi aussi tu as 15 k$ du budget ou 60k la?

Y'en a des autos entre ca...

Faudrais savoir si tu veux de l'aide
 
Inquiétez vous pas les gars, je suis capable de gérer mon argent :) c'est plus que si j'achète qqch de plus récent on va remplacer l'auto à ma blonde et je vais prendre la sienne, tout simplement.

Mais merci de vos conseils, je vais essayer de les essayer pour voir ce qui me convient le mieux.
 
De quoi s'inquieter on beut t'aider si tu as 60 000$ de budget sa change la done cest tout...tu peux aller vers une multitude d'auto interessante.
 
Oui, je sais ça.. le but initial était d'en savoir plus sur les RDX/Q5. C'est chose faite, j'ai eu de bons avis et maintenant je vais voir ce que je fais après les essais.
