Anyone here using one ?

Sears is offering a 3/4 hp belt driven one on special for 249$ instead of 449$.

Will I swear everytime I use it ?

No. Great deal for a quality garage door opener!

My parents had a Sears Craftsman (1/2 horse power) for their 16 foot garage door. It was still going strong after 20 years when they sold their house.
I have had mine for almost 10 years, no issues.
My brothers as well.....

They ae very well made. Whatever you do, don't buy that crap from Canadian Tire (Genie I think they are called...)

Hope this helps.

I am planning on having a new garage door installed next summer ... do you know if they will accept installing my own motor ?

I am pretty sure they would ask a lot more then 249$ ???

Do yourself a favour and spend an extra 50$ on the RYOBI garage door opener at Home Depot. 2 HP belt drive, quieter, attachment capable and full app for monitoring your door from a distance. Check it out
