Lol, but our movement is built on love. So beat it fatso...
President Trump*on Thursday mocked the weight of a protester who briefly interrupted his rally in Manchester, N.H.

"That guy’s got a serious weight problem. Go home, start exercising," Trump said as the individual who interrupted Trump's speech was escorted out of the arena.

"Get him out of here please. Got a bigger problem*than I do,”*Trump quipped. “Got a bigger*problem than all of us. Now he goes home and his mom says, 'What the hell have you just done?'"

Cameras showed multiple protesters being escorted out of the arena after the crowd began booing and chanting "U.S.A." The interruption came as Trump slammed Democrats, accusing them of demeaning law enforcement and describing their opponents*as "fascists and Nazis."*

Moments later, Trump continued with his usual remarks, telling supporters that his movement is "built on love."

The president often mocks and belittles protesters who are removed from his rallies, but*only sometimes comments*on their appearance.

Democratic presidential candidate*Andrew Yang, a former tech entrepreneur, recently*took*to the Iowa state fair, where he mocked Trump's weight.

"Like, what could Donald Trump possibly be better than me at? An eating contest?" Yang*asked this past weekend.

"Like, if there was a hot-air balloon that was rising and you needed to try and keep it on the ground, he would be better than me at that," he added.*“Because he is so fat.”

In May, British actress Jameela Jamil, a wellness and body positivity advocate,*called on Trump's critics*to stop "fat-shaming" him and focus on his policies instead.

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campaig...o-limit-gaffes
What do his allies know that we don't? He is slowly losing it.

Biden allies float scaling back events to limit gaffes
Allies to*Joe Biden*have been floating the idea of altering the former vice president's schedule in an effort to reduce the gaffes he has made in recent days.

The allies, growing increasingly nervous about Biden's verbal flubs, have said it's an approach that's been suggested to campaign officials on the heels of the former vice president’s stumbles.

Biden has a tendency to make the blunders late in the day, his allies say, particularly after a long swing on the road, like he had last week in Iowa. They say something needs to be done to give the candidate more down time as the campaign intensifies in the fall.

"He needs to be a strong force on the campaign trail, but he also has to pace himself," said one ally who has talked to members of the campaign team and others in the broader Biden World about how to move forward.

The ally said it was unclear whether the campaign would make any changes to Biden's schedule, particularly because Biden was criticized recently for not doing as many events as his Democratic rivals.*

“I think you’ll see the same schedule and maybe even more Joe Biden,” one ally said. “Everyone wants to see Joe Biden be Joe Biden. If he’s held back in any way, that’s almost the antithesis of who he is.”*

“I think it’s the wrong approach,” the ally added.

Biden’s age — he’ll be 77 in November — has been seen by some as a liability ever since he launched his campaign earlier this year. While he has been billed by those around him as the most electable Democrat to take on*President Trump*next year, some wonder if he has the zeal to compete.

“A lot of people are nervous that he’s lost some of his mojo,” said one major Democratic donor. “They’re getting nervous about him going toe to toe with Trump. But the problem is, there doesn’t seem to be an alternative.”*

For now, Biden's biggest opponent appears to be Sen.*Elizabeth Warren*(D-Mass.). A New Economist–YouGov weekly tracking poll published on Tuesday showed Biden at 21 percent, leading Warren by just 1 point. She has been narrowing the gap in other polls, too.

“In light of ascending candidates like Warren and [New Jersey Sen. Cory] Booker who seem to be getting a stronger voice, the gaffes give credence to voters on the fence about him even as Trump has normalized worse language in public discourse,” said Democratic strategist Basil Smikle, former executive director of the New York state Democratic Party.

At the same time, Biden retains a solid, double-digit lead over Warren in South Carolina, according to a survey from the Post and Courier newspaper in Charleston and Change Research.

And aides say he doesn’t intend to change his approach.*

“Joe Biden has spoken his mind his entire life, which voters know and love about him,” said Kate Bedingfield, Biden’s deputy campaign manager. “He’s a real person, he’s authentic, and that will never change. He’s going to keep taking on Trump and making the case to voters about the stakes we face in this election, regardless of how the press chooses to cover him.”

Biden is on vacation this week in his home state of Delaware.*

Last week, he made a series of verbal blunders that overshadowed his swing through Iowa.*

Over the weekend, he mistakenly said he had met with students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., during his time as vice president. The school was attacked by a gunman more than a year after Biden’s term as vice president ended.

That gaffe came two days after he told an audience of Asian and Hispanic voters that “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”*

Biden told reporters after the event that he botched a comment he had made many times and that he meant to say “wealthy kids” instead of “white kids.”

“On the spot, I explained it,” Biden said. “At the very second, I explained it. And so the fact of the matter is that I don’t think anybody thinks that I meant anything other than what I meant.”*

That same day, Biden also erred during a speech at the Iowa State Fair: “We choose science over fiction. We choose truth over facts.”*

Trump has pounced on the gaffes, sensing an opening. He accused Biden of not playing with a “full deck” and later took it a step further.

“Does anybody really believe he is mentally fit to be president?” Trump tweeted. “We are ‘playing’ in a very big and complicated world. Joe doesn’t have a clue.”

But for now, those in Biden World say the former vice president and his campaign have no plans to change up his public events.

“We always knew there was going to be extra scrutiny,” the second ally said. “We knew he was going to be held to a higher standard. But it’s important to let Joe Biden be Joe Biden.”

    That's cute on multiple levels..

As it turns out, the number was not connected to anyone who was hiring for the rally, KHOU.com reports.

In fact, it belonged to an 18-year-old recent high school graduate who said he had no role in the ad placement. Nor was he connected to the Trump administration or anyone trying to undermine the president.

The graduate said that since the posting, he has received phone calls, texts and voicemails littered with profanities.

He was unsure of who the ad's mastermind was. It did not appear to be connected to a booking company, either, according to Slate.

I read that about Biden, even his buddy Obama told not to run. I guess he see more than we know.

So the orange guy is offering to buy Greenland.
    https://nypost.com/2019/08/18/trump-...rk-very-badly/

Trump: ‘$700M’ cost of Greenland is ‘hurting Denmark very badly’
President Trump on Sunday said that buying Greenland isn’t “No. 1 on the burner” but quipped that Denmark may want the US to take the world’s biggest island off its hands to save money.

“Well Greenland, I don’t know, it got released somehow, it’s just something we talked about,” Trump told reporters as he left his Bedminster resort to return to Washington, referencing a Friday Wall Street Journal article about the president’s flirtation with buying Greenland.

“Denmark, essentially, owns it. We’re very good allies with Denmark, we protect Denmark like we protect large portions of the world. And so the concept came up and I said certainly, strategically it’s interesting. And we’d be interested.”

Trump then suggested that Greenland was “hurting Denmark very badly” throwing out the figure that it cost the Danish government “$700 million.”

“So they carry it at a great loss. And strategically for the United States it would be nice,” Trump added.

The Danish have said that Greenland — which is semi-autonomous and has its own government — isn’t for sale.

The president said he might visit Denmark when he heads to Poland at the beginning of next month.

Danish PM hopes Trump 'isn't serious' about buying Greenland
“Not for this reason at all,” he said of the Denmark visit. “But we’re looking at it. It’s not No. 1 on the burner,” he said.

Trump’s tarmac talk Sunday firm up comments made earlier in the day by his top economic adviser Larry Kudlow.

Kudlow said he didn’t want to predict an outcome, but added, “I’m just saying the president, who knows a thing or two about buying real estate, wants to take a look at a Greenland purchase.”

Trump pointed out the same thing.

“Essentially it’s a large real estate deal,” he said. “But we’ll talk to them a little bit.”

BREEEEEAKING. Incoming 2 part post. HUGE NEWS.

As a Canadian, I have to say this: AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!

    24 hours ago:

BREAKING: Japan agrees to buy more U.S. corn under trade deal

President Donald Trump announced the U.S. and Japan have struck a preliminary trade deal on $7 billion worth of goods. The deal is expected to be formally signed in September, The Hill reported.

Trump said Japan will be buying U.S. corn. The deal also includes digital products.

“We have been working on a deal with Japan for a long time,” Trump told reporters at the Group of Seven summit in Biarritz, France, on Aug. 25, 2019. “It involves agriculture. It involves e-commerce. It involves many things. We’ve agreed in principle.”

U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer said the deal focuses on agriculture, industrial tariffs and digital trade. Japan will buy up $7 billion of U.S. agricultural products, mostly corn, under the agreement, Reuters said.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe noted that most of the “potential” corn purchases would come through the private sector, Reuters reported.

“We’ve agreed to every point, and now we’re papering it and we’ll be signing it at a formal ceremony,” Trump added.

The report is good news for American farmers, who have seen their agricultural exports take a hit as the U.S. and China engage in a trade war. The U.S. is on pace to export $137 billion in products in 2019, which would be down from $143.3 billion in 2018, according to Statista data.

In 2017, China imported $23.8 billion worth of U.S. agricultural products – 17% of total U.S. exports. From 2000 through 2017, U.S. agricultural exports to China have increased over 700%, according to the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.

Through June, though, U.S. soybeans exports – the top ag export to China – were down by 12 million metric tons compared to last year after China announced a 25% tariff on them.

“All of the data that we have seen from both US and Chinese economists, is that throughout 2018, the tariffs actually had zero impact on China’s economy,” Erin Ennis, senior vice president of the US -China Business Council, said this summer at the Agriculture Transportation Coalition’s annual meeting. “China has yet to feel the pain of the tariffs that the United States has put in place.

“The hard facts are that as long as the tariff battle is in place and China has retaliatory tariffs against U.S. agriculture products, many exporters are going to be priced out of the market,” she added.

The U.S. exported approximately 17% of its 14.6 billion bushels of corn produced in the 2016-2017 crop year, according to the U.S. Grains Council. Twenty-one percent of that export went to Japan, making it the second largest export market behind Mexico (25%).

This year has seen a decline in corn exports of 9.4% year-to-date from 2018, although the amount of corn heading to Japan is up 16%.

“Given the existing volatility and uncertainty in global markets, today’s news that the administration is making progress in talks with Japan, one of our most important trading partners, is a welcome step in the right direction,” Myron Brilliant, executive vice president and head of international affairs, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said in a statement. “However, the U.S. Chamber strongly urges the Trump Administration to continue its efforts to reach a comprehensive, high-standard agreement that addresses the full range of U.S. trade priorities from services and intellectual property protection to regulatory barriers. By securing that broader agreement, the administration will spur significant economic growth, create U.S. jobs, and open up other avenues for expanding our market access and commercial ties to the vital Asia-Pacific region.”

The U.S. and Japan began negotiating a trade deal in late 2018. The two countries totaled $297.5 billion in trade in 2018, according to the Office of the United States Trade Representative. The U.S. exported $75 billion worth of goods to Japan in 2018, up 10.9% from 2017. Japan imported $13 billion in agricultural products from the U.S. in 2018, led by corn ($2.8 billion); beef and beef products ($2.1 billion); pork and pork products ($1.6 billion); soybeans ($947 million); and wheat ($698 million).

According to Politico, the trade deal does not lift the 2.5% tariff on Japanese vehicles or major auto parts exported to the U.S.

“There are a series of industrial tariffs that are being reduced. Auto tariffs are not in that group,” Lighthizer told reporters at the G-7.

    TODAY:

China folds. Agrees to come back to the table as economy collapses
"China announces it seeks 'calm' end to trade war, as markets tank and currency hits 11-year flatline"

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/chi...-year-flatline

China signaled Monday it is now seeking a "calm" end to its ongoing trade war with the U.S. and President Trump voiced optimism about a deal, as Asian markets crumbled and China's currency plummeted to an 11-year low following the latest tariffs on $550 billion in Chinese goods announced last Friday by the Trump administration.

"I think we're going to have a deal," Trump told reporters.

Trump said Monday that officials from China called U.S. officials and expressed interest to "get back to the table,” The Wall Street Journal reported. He called the discussions a “very positive development.”

“They want to make a deal. That’s a great thing,” he said.

    More:

Shares of China Merchants Bank (CMB), a blue-chip stock in Hong Kong, tumbled on Monday, with investors shying away from risky assets that could face further headwinds as the trade war between China and the United States escalates once again.
The Shenzhen-based lender, along with Bank of Communications (BOC) and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank (SPDB), was in June held in contempt of court by a US judge for refusing to comply with subpoenas in an investigation into North Korean sanctions violations. The case could lead to the banks being cut off from the US financial system.
The stock fell by 6.5 per cent on Monday before recovering slightly to close 4.9 per cent lower at HK$35.9 in Hong Kong. Its Shanghai listed shares also eased, closing 3.5 per cent lower at 35 yuan.

Asian stocks were battered Monday amid a confusing swirl of signals about the US-China trade war. But European and US stocks showed some hope over signs later in the day that the two sides could come back to the bargaining table.

The day began with steep selloffs in Hong Kong, China, Japan and South Korea as investors fretted about whether tariff hikes announced by both countries in recent days would fuel a severe global economic slowdown.

But China's top trade negotiator began Monday by saying that the country "strongly opposes" the escalation of the trade war.

"We believe the trade war escalation is bad for China, bad for the United States and bad for the interest of the people in the world," said Chinese Vice Premier Liu He at a conference in Chongqing, China. "We are willing to use a calm attitude to solve problems by negotiations and cooperation."

China is BENDING over and ready to take it dry.

Making History: An American President is INTIMIDATING a Chinese ruler. Trump is KILLING it. He is the definition of WINNING.

    PLEASE DONALD, MAKE NO DEALS.

Let that communist economy TANK. It needs to happen.

AMERICA, DO NOT BAILOUT CHINA for the greater good of humanity.

You do know you're Canadian, right? There's been a significant disconnect between what's good for the U.S and what's good for Canada since that dude took office.
We're a pawn in a game of chicken the U.S has initiated against China (Eg The Meng/Huawei ordeal)

Of course the U.S media will spin this as a "win" for their local audience.

The rest of the world just can't wait for this to end. China just probably realized there's no "winning" against a delusional mythomaniac.

Is Trump stating that what happened in Crimea is Obama's fault to be celebrated too? How fucked up is it to blame him rather than oh, I don't know, the invading force?

Trump is the best thing that happened to George W. Bush, post-presidency.

What exactly is it going to take for you die hard supporters to consider that his hasn't worked as well as a lot of us hoped? This guy is well past his best before date.

Does commander in chief entitle him to VA benefits? Sounds like he needs a time out and to get some help...

His Canadian supporters are just cucks. They like sitting back and watching their country get fucked by another dude while telling him how awesome he is.

So you're saying our chief in command is letting our country get fucked?

    Absolutely.

You can hate Trudeau and Trump at the same time. You don't need to fall into a predetermined camp. Unless you are totally incapable of forming your own opinions.
