RHD Insurance - Fire/Theft/Vandalism coverage possible in QC???

Hi Everyone,

I have a 1993 RHD Mistubishi Evo1 which I've owned for about 6 years. I've always had the car insured throught Intact insurance, but it was only insured 1 way. The car is to the point that it's now worth significantly more than a standard Evo1 and I would like to have it insured for Fire, Theft and Vandalism. Intact will only insure for my 1 way collision and I can't find anyone who will insure more than that.

Does anyone have a company that will insure their RHD car for Fire, Theft and Vandalism? I understand that it will take a professional evaluation on the car to have it insured which I have no problem doing.

You think I didnt search first? Cant find a single thread with anyone mentioning details on their fire theft and vandalism coverage for a RHD car in Quebec. If I would've found my answer I wouldn't have created a thread...

If you can find a thread with people posting companies that insure fire theft and vandalism from the last few year on a RHD car, I'll send you a hand written apology letter...

i was with desjardin for a short period of time with my 300zx and they did insure it feu vol vandalism, but i also ad another car and home insurance with them.
 
deja ete assurer full avec Lareau je crois. Pour une Soarer mais sa fait deja presque 10 ans.

EDIT : J'ai j'ai verifier et c'etait bien Lareau. Je me rapelle j'avais 17 ans et sa coutait une fortune..... De memoire il n'y avait pas beaucoup de compagnies qui assuraient les RHD.

Two year old thread with one guy stating that he has the coverage...Other guy thinks he had it 4-5 yrs ago but isnt sure lol

I used to have coverage with my current company...They wont do it anymore, hence why I'm looking for CURRENT info on who has coverage.



Thank you to the couple of people who responded. I'll call the places you suggested!

Still, call those names and find out, if they did it two years ago, they're more likely to do it today than your random insurer. Then share with us to update the info.
 
jétais avec lareau qui eux prenait l'assurance Lloyds.

J'avais 2 bord full equip et assuré avec une valeur fair à 70% de ce que j'estimaisêtre la vraie valeur. Alors, j'étais OK. However, c'était les seuls à le faire ( promutuel le fesais, mais juste 1 bord) alors il chargait la palette et j'avais un sti de déductible de 2500$ non-sens LOL ( its almost the cost of a full repaint..). Donc, finalment un 2 bord plus ou moins FAIR.

Ça et le manque de labour honete et de qualité, ont été les deux raisons pourquoi j'ai sortie du RHD world.

Eh bien moi c'etait le prix exhorbitant des assurances. (Sa me coutait 6-700$ de moins par annee d'assurance en 2010 pour un SRT-4 2004 vs un Toyota 1991.....)

et aussi mais surtout le fait de conduire du wrong side of the road. J'habitais a la campagne et pour depasser un convoit de tracteur je devais ralentir, me tasser doucement vers la gauche et m'etirer pour finir par voir qu'en sens inverse il y avait un 53 pieds qui s'en venait.....

Malgrer tout je m'ennui encore de ma Soarer et au prix que je l'ai vendue (2900$) j'aurais du le garder.

avec 575whp, j'adorais visiter ma famille en campagne lol Les dépassements ne duraient jamais plus de 2 secondes rendu là.

Ceci dit, good luck avec les assurances, surtout 2 bords, ce sera très dure et/ou tu va payer très cher ! D'autant plus que le service chez laraux a pris une sale drop depuis que ce n'est plus julien l'heureux qui s'occupe des RHD.

je cherchais son nom justement Julien L'Heureux ! C'est avec lui que je faisait affaire.

avec 260hp et une gaymatic moi je les trouvais assez long les depassements !!!

Il y a 3-4 ans Julien a quitté ou changé de département je crois, mon dossier était allé à Vincent Chicoine.

Non non, Lareau s'est désintégré la seconde après le dernier post à son sujet il y a deux ans, il ne peut surtout pas les appeler.
