This Easter Sunday (On April 16, 2017), a Cleveland, Ohio man identified as Steve Stephens, live streamed himself on Facebook killing a seemingly random elderly man on a street.
In the moments leading up to the murder, Steve Stephens, whose Facebook handle was Stevie Steve, says while driving in a car: “…find me somebody that I’m about to kill.”
Stevie Steve then appears to pull over, walks up to an elderly man walking down the street, and tells him what is about to happen to him is because of Joy Lane. Whatever the hell that means.
He shoots the elderly man at close range in the head before returning to his car and driving off. The shooting reportedly took place on East 93rd Street, just south of the Interstate 90 in Glenville area of Cleveland.
Later today, Stevie Steve reportedly broadcast another Facebook Live video, in which he claimed to have killed other people too, and said on the phone that he snapped and “messed up.” Steve’s Facebook page has meanwhile been deactivated.
Steve Stephens is currently at large. Police described him as being a black male who is 6 foot 1 inches tall, weighs 240 lbs, and wears a beard. He was wearing a dark-striped polo shirt at the time of the murder. He appeared to have been driving a white or cream-colored SUV. He is considered armed and dangerous. If you live in Cleveland, keep your eyes out.
