Fyre Festival, advertised as "a cultural moment created from a blend of music, art, and food" on the island of Great Exuma in the Bahamas and organized by the rapper Ja Rule, has been branded a "disaster" and a "scam" on social media.

Ticket buyers — who spent between $450 and $12,000 a ticket — expected luxurious accommodations and big-name talent. Instead, they say they got last-minute cancellations from bands like Blink-182 amid rumors of organizational incompetence, and a scene that turned into what's been called "The Hunger Games."

remember when you saw on facebook pictures of a party that you didn't go to? and it looked like a blast? and whenever you did go it was boring AF? well, that's the power of social media. if you take enough pictures, some are bound to make it look like people have fun. nobody really cares what really happened, as long as it can be sold. sell people dreams. the best kind of profit.
 
Music festival in the Bahamas rings too many alarm bells. The place got so ghetto since the first time we went there that we are done going there for vacation. Even Paradise Island got shady areas where you see a lot of locals harassing tourists. Only thing is still good is a local maple rum sold only in Nassau.

quand javais 15 ans jsuis allé en rebublique dominicaine jouer dans un golf situé dans un ghetto. ma balle a pogné un toit en métal pis des ptits jeunes de 9 ans sont venu sur le terrain m'intimider. j'avais aussi un caddie dominicain. jme suis senti comme un propriétaire d'esclave.

I don't get the hate for the models. they got paid to take pictures. that's what they do for a living. they didn't organize it, they posed for it. is anyone going to sue Yamaha since their jetski appears in pictures?
 
Il y a un documentaire sur netflix qui vient de sortir sur cet événement, apparament le documentaire est vraiment bon hahaha
 
Le doc de Netflix est bon mais faut faire attention; il a été produit par la même cie de marketing qui était chargé du marketing de l'évènement, donc aussi un peu fautifs. Apparament le doc de HULU est mieux car il montre sa du point de vue de quelqu'un de completement externe à tout sa.

who gives a crap ? I watched it and man is it good haha. Can't believe how much of a nightmare it was and how much of a fucking sociopath billy was.
