Project GEV & project pimpin': the P5 & the M45

Alright the Mazda is running again, couple blown fuses changed and started right up. Gonna do some testing on the wiring to see if there are any shorts.

Had to grease up the hood latch on the Infiniti cuz the hood wouldnt close properly, thanks stupid all over the place weather...

Bon le Mazda est fonctionnel a nouveau. Un des fils de coilpacks (le #2) a poppé pis a fait sauter qques fuses. On en a profité pour refaire les grounds du starter qui rendaient les demarrages laborieux 1x sur 2 a froid. On va finir par rendre ca fiable un moment donné

Update: pas de nouvelles mods mais ca fait officiellement 11000km que je met sur la M45 pis a part des freins arrieres & un bearing de roue la voiture a ete fiable a mort, hate de pousser le projet plus loin une fois le P5 vendu.

En parlant du P5 je lai reveille aujourdhui apres plus de 2 semaines sans rouler, parti comme un charme!

Plans are starting to pan out for the upcoming season, spotted some nicely sized autocouture 19s that would look dope on the M, just waiting for the P to sell to get the ball rolling...

Still undecided on what to replace the Mazda with, looking at 500 Abarth, G37x, Civic Si 4dr/csx-s, A4 s-line, e90 328xi, lancer ralliart...

Well, its official, the Mazda is sold as part exchange for my new (used) family hauler. Will miss that boost surge, bit hey, time to grow up and get practical.

New car will be in my possession in 2 days, will post pictures once I have it. The M45 will be going under the scalpel in a couple of days for a long overdue body restoration and a couple of minor mods & fixes.

Its done, mazda is gone, volvo is in, i will take a full set of pics soon, barley had time to drop the car off before work. So far so good, as mentioned before only non operational feature is the gps, and the license plate placing is way off, will have to resolve that too. The summer wheel setup search starts!

Alright so license plate fitment problem solved, went to pick up a frame at Volvo Brossard and installed it.

Found some gunmetal fast hayaku 18x9s that i think will be perfect for this summer, considered upsizing in diameter but wanna keep the ride as comfy as possible... On the lookout for tires to match not sure if im gonna go with 45 or 40 profile...

Lol cest aussi une question de budget, je me suis mis 3k$ e budget de roues & pneus cette annee pis celles du M45 vont en gober un grosse partie... Mais cest pas lenvie qui manque!

Bon ben le setup d'été va aller à lundi, les bolts de roues se font shipper de Toronto... peut être pas une mauvaise affaire avec le 20-30cm annoncé ve weekend
