lol you are speaking about two teams who won cup with goalies that cost half of carey price no shit they would win with a better goalie. anyone would take a 10 millions center before a stupid 10 mil. goalie

Sure but that's not the decision this team had to make. MB had to decide do we make the necessary commitment in order to keep the best player on this team locked up.

both those teams have 2 players that make $20M combined.

Price has more effect than any of those players. Thus Price's performance has a more direct correlation with the success of the Montreal Canadiens. Basically, Price being healthy automatically makes Montreal a contending team. There is simply no other player with such a value to their team.

Explain how Crosby has less effects on a game than Price?
 
Je sais pas si y'a un no trade clause la dedan, mais moi sa me donne l'idée d'un joueur qui a une plus grosse valeur d'échange en étant signé long terme

Pendant ce temps, Crosby donne des conseils à son team sur le bench, et accumule les points sur la glace.

10 minutes de chance de marquer > 60 minutes dans un goal.

L'argument est tellement fail anyway, combien de couples stanley Price a gagné comparé à Crosby? C'est facile de constater la différence entre les 2 stratégies d'équipe...
 
Je n'ai pas envie de débattre pendant 8 pages sur si la signature de Price était une bonne chose ou non...
Pour mon point de vue, je crois que c'est une bonne chose, le temps nous le dira.. Je me fou royalement du salaire. Honnêtement, ce n'est pas un Price ou un Mcdavid à 11 millions/an qui fait mal, ce sont des joueurs marginaux qui sont payés 4-5 millions qui est le plus dommageable
 
check, meme si les ti-clin de MR disent que c'est trop d'argent et que Crosby gagne moin mais mérite plus (on se base sur quoi?) matter of fact is, les 30 autres clubs lui aurait donné ce salaire la...et p-t même plus. votre argument que Crosby a 3 coupe stanley et tout..ok...McDavid qui s'apprête a empoché 13M/années, y'en a combien de coupe stanley lui?

c pas une question de crosby est meilleur c une question que la difference entre un goaler qui fait 6-8 millions pis un goaler qui fait 10,5 est minime la difference entre un centre a 6M pis un centre a 10-13M est enorme

Marleau c'est son terme que je n'aime pas. Il va avoir 41 ans à la fin...
Il est mieux d'appeler Jagr pour des conseils sur la longévité sportive...il va en avoir besoin.

Thornton, c'est un an (je crois), c'est bon.
 
Mearleau is a beast, 27 goals at the age of 37. I read somewhere that he hasn't missed a game in 7 years and only like 30 something games in his career.
