A question about crypto mining

SEPTEMBER 12, 2017
Bitcoin “is a fraud” and will blow up, Jamie Dimon, chief executive of JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM.N), said on Tuesday.

If a client walks in and asks for Bitcoin, you get them BTC. If you manage a client money and you put it in BTC, Fired.

:dunno: Not that hard to understand the difference

yes Bullshit from JP..

but the point is how can a reputable institution like all this named Banks sell scams and fraudulent money as they call it ?

:dunno: Not that hard to understand the difference ;)

or

If a client walks in and asks for Coke and LSD, you get them Coke and LSD. If you manage a client money and you put it in Coke and LSD, Fired.

JP Morgan

That's some sig material;;LOL

You're logic doesn't make sense in this case...:sorry:

His logic makes a lot of sense.

Advisors will not suggest Bitcoin, but if dude that saw on Facebook that "it was 350$ not long ago, $4k today, for sure it will be $20k soon" and wants to buy in, they will do it.

Past performance are not any guarantee of future performance...

"Because it is not backed by any government and has been tied to crimes, including money laundering, hacking and drug trafficking, most financial institutions have stayed away from dealing in bitcoin"

Lol.

hey small question how do you guys keep track for your buys/sells/trades/etc..., I thought of simply using excel, but there must be a better way to do this?

OK, there's stuff that is outright illegal, like murder for hire or hard drugs and then there's moral grey zones

Take for example a Black card concierge. It's illegal to hire a prostitute and also against their policy but if a client calls and asks for an escort to be arranged you don't mess around. Why, because if you don't give them what they want they'll simply go to the next guy who will. When you talk about things like Coke and LSD, i'm pretty sure AMEX,Visa and MC all will not do it so they can say no.

Going back to bitcoin, even if it's against your policy and morals, if you don't do it (upon request) but the next bank will, that customer is off to the next bank that will since it's not illegal.

Backed-out.

The difference being that JPM dealing in bitcoin could open them up to money laundering and terrorism financing charges both are actual uses of BTC. Then again prosecutors don't have the balls to charge a large bank.

Ils auraient pu juste faire "fuck it...".
