A question about crypto mining

I've had a chance to speak with a lot of retail investment clients recently (I had been away from the front lines for a while). I've been in this shit for over a decade. I've seen bubbles come and go. This is a bubble. I've said it before in this thread. I'm saying it again. It's going down, and not just a little. The very fact that I can't make the economic case for me to get short (see my runaway freight train analogy in previous comments), ironically further pushes my conviction that this will blow up. Timing the short wrong would be suicide. I own a nominal amount of BTC, I mined BTC in the early days to understand the concept fully, I believe it's going to a near zero valuation. It is fairy dust.

Any recent interest of the established exchanges of establishing contracts etc should not be seen as bullish. Exchanges are not doing too great (in general), introducing a contract on something with as much vol as BTC makes sense when you don't care about how the underlying is doing. They make money on volume, up, down they don't give a shit.

Ask yourself, how many actual retail transactions you've done in BTC since 2010, my guess for most of you is 0. Moving small amounts of money on the chain isn't even that cheap if you want it to be done quickly.

Blockchain sure, BTC and any other cryptocurrency I'm sorry to say, doomed.

Don't waste your time.

Any valid argument you make they disregard and change their tune. Take for example the fact that there will be a futures market. They started off by saying you can't manipulate it that's why it's the best. Now it's a good thing because wall street is getting into it.

To your point about using it on a daily basis for transaction, started out that way and when it became to slow and expensive they changed their tune too. Valve just kicked Bitcoin to the curb.

I'll end off with a really telling sequence.

$0000 - $1000: 1789 days
$1000- $2000: 1271 days
$2000- $3000: 23 days
$3000- $4000: 62 days
$4000- $5000: 61 days
$5000- $6000: 8 days
$6000- $7000: 13 days
$7000- $8000: 14 days
$8000- $9000: 9 days
$9000-$10000: 2 days
$10000-$11000: 1 day
$11000-$12000: 6 days
$12,000-$13,000: 17 hours
$13,000-$14,000: 4 hours

Firstly you haven't made shit until you cash out. It could go up to a million dollars a Bitcoin, unless you pull it out all you have are some numbers on the screen making you believe you're rich. When shit happens good luck getting out, exchanges will be overwhelmed and they already have small withdrawal limits if they do work.

More importantly after each drop it goes back up until one day it doesn't. So I bid those playing in the Crypto casino good luck because the likelihood is that most of you will be bag holders, sufferers from the "This time it's different" delusion.

pas encore toi ... peu tu juste calissé ton camp.

On est bien content pour toi tu aime pas le bitcoin. On as compris, maintenant vole de tes propre ailes vers d'autre cieux

You are right on 2 point , one day it wont it wont regrow.... , pple need to keep in mind it hapenned with Nortel if you are not 15 yrs old.

You made nothing until you cash it out.... , but in the end , whats life without having a lil fun doing something new ? , if you are dumb enough to put all in that you are stupid , if you think you will get out of this with a lambo you are stupid , it can happen.... , We all do realise we are in a freaking bubble that will pop sooner or later.

You think everyone is delusioned but in fact most of the peeps in this are aware of what you are saying , you sound like my father in law who is only shitting about it because he dosent understand anything but a fraud in all this , anyways , everyone has right to think what they want free country !

FUUU j'etais a 150$ de mined avec un payout qui s'en venait le 15 Decembre sur Nicehash:

Official press release regarding the NiceHash security breach

Unfortunately, there has been a security breach involving NiceHash website. We are currently investigating the nature of the incident and, as a result, we are stopping all operations for the next 24 hours.

Importantly, our payment system was compromised and the contents of the NiceHash Bitcoin wallet have been stolen. We are working to verify the precise number of BTC taken.

Clearly, this is a matter of deep concern and we are working hard to rectify the matter in the coming days. In addition to undertaking our own investigation, the incident has been reported to the relevant authorities and law enforcement and we are co-operating with them as a matter of urgency.

We are fully committed to restoring the NiceHash service with the highest security measures at the earliest opportunity.

We would not exist without our devoted buyers and miners all around the globe. We understand that you will have a lot of questions, and we ask for patience and understanding while we investigate the causes and find the appropriate solutions for the future of the service. We will endeavour to update you at regular intervals.

While the full scope of what happened is not yet known, we recommend, as a precaution, that you change your online passwords.

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused and are committing every resource towards solving this issue as soon as possible.

But that's where I disagree. I don't think everyone is delusioned but the frenzy is because people are either 1) too young to remember or have any financial knowledge of even the housing market crash 2) too stupid to read/remember history and see that this will end badly.

I respect someone who is honest, knows the risks and is just along for the ride. I've been of that opinion since the beginning.

A few months ago I was a lot more vocal but I've since backed off for the most part. The fact that it's jumped like crazy in the past few days I checked in and thought I'd support rollingsound but I've sounded off and will go back to the other threads.

I'll eventually be back the HODLer QQ party.

I've said this before, I believe in Blockchain tech, not in Bitcoin. But as long as there's money to be made, I'm in.

The bubble is inflating very quickly. It's gonna pop hard.

Just another wealth transfer in the making...

Tout ce que je peut dire est que la dernière fois que le tout as monté aussi vite pis une grosse majorité des transaction étais du BTC/KRW le tout as planté ... C'est le cas aujourd'hui...
