I know cars shows aren't MR's favorite thing by far however I still thought it would be fun to discuss how cars are judged at shows. At a modified car show, the more modified the vehicle is, the more points it usually gets. There are points for things like cleanliness, rarity, custom work, overall theme etc. Motor work does play a factor but since there are also many other factors, a sleeper car won't likely win a car show.
Here is the judge sheet I've developed for the Cars On Fire next week. I'll explain some of the reasoning behind it.
Most cateories are scrored from 0-3 points. Custom work always has the possibility of scoring higher as does the overall theme. Forced induction also has the ability to obtain lots of points because it's a big deal. The rest is pretty much self explanitory and I think it will allow the best cars to win for the right reasons.
