Your car/truck as it sits now thread.

I love it. To be honest the car is almost perfect as is. No need to do suspension because it is stiff enough OEM, it is a bit bouncy on the highway though. To make the ride quality better I want to drop down to a 16inch setup for summer (my winters are 15 and it's good but too much sidewall flex).

As for power, stock tune allows you to run 87 octane without any problems but it won't make the 197hp/217tq announced by Ford (they did that on 93oct). When I have enough money saved for it I will buy a Cobb APv3 and 91 tune from stratified auto ( 500$us ) to have some good gains. Unless you go big turbo you won't get big gains from intake/downpipe. An upgraded FMIC will give more consistent power ( if you're the kind of person that does many back to back pulls ).

As for exhaust there are many options, I will go the resonator delete route because I dont see the point of putting a turbo back 3inch exhaust. The stock turbo will choke before you can profit of the extra airflow.

If you're looking for a fun daily, I definitely recommend you to try one out. It will never be the fastest car on the road but you will definitely have a smile while driving it. If you'd like I could show you what it can do on a twisty road.

I worked in detailing for years but I can't bring myself to dedicate a day to polish my own cars.

I used a porter cable 7224 and I think it's just not powerfull enough honestly, took me more than 2 hours just to compound the god damn roof, I had some light swirls here and there nothing major, and even if I use the correct speed (max) and the correct technique, it takes hours before I can see the swirls go away. I know professionnals can do a complete car in like 4 hours, I don't see how this is possible with the equipment I have, maybe a faster one would be more effective...

I feel your pain.
