Your car/truck as it sits now thread.

Enleve les fausses-ailes avant et enlève les foams. Ensuite tu shoot du Fluid Film sur tous les endroits vulnérables et non-protégés en dessous, à chaque fois que tu lèves l'auto. Decroche le bumper arrière au niveau des ailes de chaque côté et bourre ça de graisse.

Je pense pas que crisser dla graisse la c est une bonne idée, tu vas faire un dirt magnet et favoriser le sablage des composantes. Se retrouver avec une poche de graisse a bearing remplie de marde, c est pas conseillé pentoute. Je l'ai deja fais et je fais pu ca. Tu peux graisser le char si tu veux mk6 brah, mais un rincage undercarriage frequent et pressure washer dans les cavités qui se remplissent de dirt (C est la stagnation de debris qui cause la perforation des ailes, rockers etc). Rince a pressure washer les endroits entre les fausses ailes protection plastique et le metal.

Inspecte tes rockers (sils sont en metal) pour les stones chips et debut de paint peeling, et repare a mesure. Ca va prevenir la perforation eventuelle. Mais la majorité de ses actions la apart rincer le char comme faut donnera pas grand chose , tu vas avoir changé de char rendu la. Faut pas virer fou.
 
...mais je l'ai achetée pour ça ! :) elle a un Protex, nano et cirée 2 fois depuis juillet, pour ce que ça vaut... Si ça peut te rassurer, j'ai encore ma GTI 2008 achetée neuve et elle n'a pas de rouille :)

je sais, c'est fait pour rouler ces jouets la, en plus ca doit etre plaisant l'hiver avec le Haldex, une vrai pocket rocket !!
et effectivement ca semble que si y'a qqn qui a l'air de faire attention a ses vehicules, c'est bien toi avec les bolides qu'on voit.

As someone who buys and works on old cars I completely disagree. The cars that survive are usually covered in old dirty grease. Washing can help but it can lift off paint and leave bare surfaces exposed therefore rotting quickly.

Clean up places where stuff build up once a year. The grease acts like a barrier in between the paint and the dirt.

I'll take your experience with old cars as pretty close to the truth! But on a car like a rabbit 2.5? Not so sure.

It's all relative. Metal is metal. My Corrado was winter driven but fluid filmed and when I did my engine swap we high pressure hosed the grease off. Paint was clean underneath and shiny. For stuff you never see spray it. That way it never creeps out. Piece of mind for a couple hours work and a couple spray cans is better then paying a bodyshop to repair rot or scrapping a car because the shock tower rotted out.

I know it's nothing super crazy but it's different and that's what I wanted. Hopefully I enjoy it.

I'm in Ontario so I can still register a 15year old jdm.

It has the final generation 3SGTE 4cyl turbo so about 260hp with all-trac awd system produced by Toyota. It's an N edition so it also has a sportier suspension, oem strut bars and a rear LSD. It was the last car produced with the GT-Four name plate.

Unfortunately these cars were only made in Automatic however before buying the car I made sure that it could be swapped to manual. The ST215 caldina or Celica gtfour ST205 manual fits the car bolt on. If I really enjoy this car I will swap it to manual.
