I've had a rechargeable Yardworks 36V Lithium lawnmower for 5 years and last week out of the blue the battery failed. New battery is 170$+tx and frankly I don't want to pay that for a battery.
Battery charges and the charger confirms it goes through the charge cycle, multimeter shows 38V but there's no amps behind it. The second I turn on the mower it sounds like a hair-dryer and even though the blade spins, it's slow and I have to cut the grass real tall like on the 6 or 7 setting.
So I'm looking for suggestions. I've checked Kijiji for local adverts of people selling used gas powered mowers. Don't really have a set budget but would like to keep it under 100$. I just want to finish the season and next spring either get a new mower or go back to a mowing service like I had when I bought my current mower.
This any good?
