They're trying too hard to make a global blockbuster, hot female action lead + seems like an Asian co-star and shot somewhere in asia. Wouldn't be surprised if it pulls in $$$$$$$ internationally even if it looks mediocre.

YEP! For the Chinese market which Hollywood is now making a lot of mulllaaa babbeeyyy there!
 
With all the amazing books that could be made into good movies, Hollywood decides to recycle again. I just hope it's going to be good.
