ShhhhhhhMaybe this was already mentioned, but another option if you buy a $100k used exotic from a private party is to have a shop write up a fat estimate for all the 'to do's (engine out, clutch, suspension, brakes, paint etc) and use that against the purchase value. You can save a good amount of sales tax when getting the car 'de'-valued by a GAA-approved appraiser.
For the financing part, there seems to be 24 pages of opinions on this.
