Oh lord, that color is stunning.
I would sell my soul to have it on my MK7 R.
Since the car is an M Performance Edition he most likely did not pay for the Individual colour. BMW have been bringing these M P Edition in batches of 150 cars with some in Individual colours at no additional cost.I wouldn't pay a premium for an Individual to end up with Avus blue.
I prefer Enzian blue

A lot of colors name with BMW refers race track. Like Laguna Seca blue, Interlagos blue, Estoril blue, Valencia orange, Imola red, Dakar yellow, LeMans blue, Montreal blue, Silverstone metallic, Monaco blue, Daytona violet, Sepang bronze, Melbourne red ...
If you want to learn more about Avus:

Je pourrais parler des couleurs individuelles BMW anormalement longtemps. On dirait que c'est la seule clientèle qui ose sortir des palettes de couleur classiques aussi fréquemment.

One day a manufacturer will use Drummondville Brun for a car... and it'll be epic!
