The next fear is that men will get so nervous that they're going to be accused of harassment that they will simply stop hiring, meeting or socialising with female colleagues. There are reports this is already happening. We will get shut out of the room where important decisions are made because men fear our presence? How ironic would that be?

The risk is that men, feeling under siege, kick back and say "enough is enough, this is not fair". Then we risk losing the support and sympathy of our male colleagues. We do indeed become seen as witch hunters, or worse, as witches.

I think backlash is coming, slowly but it's coming. It's probably one fake accusation away of a known politician, actor or businessman that will happen to have a recording or something like that about the accuser saying they will do public is they dont do something(blackmail) and will simply do the same and post it on social media.

From that point, this movement will keep losing credibility and slowly die...

A good example of something like that is the Gomeshi trial... Is the guy clean? Fuck no.. he stinks, but the "victims" clearly tried to collude and make up stuff, crippling any credibility they had for the whole case. This whole mess died in a few weeks and we wont hear of it ever again.

There will be long lasting effects of this however, alot of men already did not trust women anymore, it'll only get worst. I have 2 single male friends who absolutely refuse to meet a new date outside of a public setting until the 3rd or 4th date because of this bullshit now. I dont blame them.

One side of me is happy yo see scumbags being exposed...

But Social Media being what it is, it's only one new breaking news away from being buried also.
 
En même temps, il y a des jeunes femmes professionnelles qui ne tombent pas dans ce panneau et font ce qu'il y a faire pour mériter la position qu'elles occupent par la compétence. Celles qui portent de fausses accusations sont des femmes qui ne peuvent réussir leur cheminement de carrière et profiter de ce momentum de #MeToo pour gravir des échelons là où elles considèrent le maillon le + faible. Il y a un vidéo dernièrement mis en ligne, ce sont "les femmes employées de Tinder" faisant le procès des hommes que comptent Tinder. Toutes des féministes en manque de graines.

It's not your presence we will fear, but your tendency to exhibit over-the-top emotional response to things that just don't matter that much, or would be much more efficiently dealt with if they weren't so blown out of proportion that closure becomes impossible.

In fact, what's truly ironic is that you think your mere presence in the room would cause such a ruckus, meaning you also lack the self awareness to realize when it's time to step down from your internet pedestal and get a fucking grip on reality.

What happened to you guys that you all hate women so much? People are coming forward with stories of abuse and all you can do is hope it ruins their lives.

What if it was your mom? Your sister? Your wife or girlfriend? Would you rather they just stay quiet and submissive while they get harassed at work all day?

What about my wife that has to deal with this BS everyday. She did nothing wrong but being a women in IT at the government in Ottawa, and a competent one at that, it ruffles a few feathers because of the attitude of other men AND other women who are pissed because she got the job and they did not.

She's the one who actually sent me that article.

those who work hard and are recognized for it wont have any issues. The crybabies who are using this to get ahead are in for a rude awakening.

dude les ginette avec qui je travail jleur calisserais un high five dans face la moitié du temps. Si elle méttait autant d'énergie a comprendre ce qu'elles font que y'en mette pour chialer. Criss ma job aurais pu de raison d'être.
 
I mentioned this before in the I Confess thread - the company I work for has hired a DB programmer and SHE starts in January and I will have to share my office with her. I'm actually worried as I was part of the interview process and she didn't strike any particular impression on my as a skilled or experienced programmer but she is in her 20s and will spend 8h/day in my office. My boss decided she was good for the job (probably because she demanded a low salary) and he made the call.

I have no ill intentions towards her but I am worried that if inevitably she doesn't work out (I have my doubts as she has language barriers and very little experience) she will play the #meetoo card.

I seriously am considering placing a camera to protect myself.

Pour chaque cas d'une femme qui se fait réellement violer et que le gars mérite de finir en tôle, ta un cas comme j'ai vu d'une fille qui bullshit d'avoir été violer par son prof d'école et elle s'en sort sans dommages alors que le dude sa vie est fini.

C'est sa le problème, la manière qu'une fille peut bullshiter d'avoir été agresser sans aucune conséquence.
