-Current Fault: P0500 Vehicule Speed Sensor
-Pending Fault: P0746 Pressure Control Solenoid "A" Performance or Stuck Off
-Pending Fault: P0796 Pressure Control Solenoid "C" Performance or Stuck off
-Pending Fault: P2714 Pressure Control Solenoid D Performance or Stuck Off

I remember those years being shit and the Camry did indeed have transmission problems, and some were blowing under 150000km, uncharacteristic for a Toyota considering the bullet proof transmission they had for the past 20 years.
Problems started in 2009 iirc, I had some trouble too at very early mileage with the 5 speed auto Matrix. Taxi drivers were buying the Sonata over the Camry for this sole reason...Cant offer much help besides refer you to a good garage that can diagnose the problem.

We blew our transmission (manual one) back in the days on our 1999 model, and the rebuilt unit after had a bad 3rd gear synchro. Hard to know if it was common though since they sold about 10 of those mt camry.

on pare d'une transmission auto ici....
having multiple solenoid stuck codes means that no more liquid pressure is coming in a circuit like a broken pump, seals, but in your case with multiple solenoids codes its like a broken pump or main shaft which i doubt.. as for the vehicule speed sensor code its because it slips or dont move as it should like speed sensor doesnt see any speed and it should see speed so it throws a code.. some transmission will tell you a bad ratio code when slipping.
erasing the active codes will maybe make the transmission works if its not 100% broken but only to go at the garage but i dont suggest you that at all!

AUTOMATIC transmissions. Im not talking about sticks.

He probably went reverse, drive to get out the snow while it was still spinning. Thats my guess. They dont just fuck up like that.

She had almost 300 000 kms though and I don't think the fluid was ever changed (sealed transmission "lifetime" fluid). I wonder if that may have played a role.

Theres a transmission place in lasalle off Dollard. If its worth the fix get it checked.

I guess. :(

So he is lucky, the car served him well.
The WS fluid Toyota uses is not the best from what I understand (too thin, one of reasons why issues arose when it came out to replace the T4 fluid) and the lifetime thing is not really lifetime, more to save on environmental taxes. Here what the fluid looks like after 100km, skip to 6:20, mine looked the same when I changed it at 100km/11yo fluid:
