No, no need for gas. Sounds like you're firing up an engine with a carburetor.Had both my A3 3.2 and wife's 2012 RAV4 at the chalet. -26 this morning. A3 has a new battery, wife's still original. They both crank fine, but had to press a little gas as both were about to stall on me. The A3 had bouncing RPMs for 10seconds after start. Does anyone else have to press the gas pedal a little to prevent stalling right after the car fires up? Throttle body needs cleaning or new plugs?
I'm talking about pressing the gas slightly upon fireup, not priming the lines by depressing the pedal completely before starting.

tu capote, calme tes nerfs.
Sounds like it's flooding out more. Check if it smokes black while you are feathering the gas.
Parfait pour faire exploser une batterie.

Sure. Every exploded battery I've seen had a blanket around them but hey their not problematiclol, Does your battery explode in July?
Cause this blanket will not even come close to bring your battery temp anywhere near the temps your battery survives heat soaking in your engine bay in while in traffic on a hot July day. An 80-100watt model is only going to produce about 20C over ambient. Pretty much every car in Churchill MB, Cold Lake/Fort Mac AB has one and if you had to choose between a block heater of a warm battery blanket wins hands down.
