its not bad for a Hyundai honestly.
They did a pretty damn good job. I like the interior feature.
Do I want one, no, would try one though.

Yep.. nice brake feel.
good shifter
Low end punch is pretty decent
Shift light are pretty accurate as opposed to the Type-R
Turning radius a little big for city.
Luv the N settings..:) and exhaust backfire
good pricing
Launch function good, rec to 4500 rpm drop the clutch, bang you are gone..

Yea but the result is actually not that surprising. The bm is tuned, 225whp = approx 260bhp?. Whats the curb weight of 328i? 3200lbs?
I30n is 275bhp and around 3200lbs as well.
Drag race from dead seems close since bm has more traction off the line.
But you can see i30n pulling away quite easily on the roll.
Put 328i stock vs i30n and you will see where this 90's bimmer actually stands.

Im pretty sure I30n will beat e36 m3 all day everyday in every way possible

Ahh yes drag racing the ultimate test of a car. Stock that E36 made around 190hp with longggg gearing. Masker needs to post that to make feel better for his G35
Im pretty sure I30n will beat e36 m3 all day everyday in every way possible. Here is the other biggy you can take the Hyundai on a long trip and not having to worry about it overheating or breaking down. Have the old BMW for a fun weekend car but daily driving one is silly.

Old cars are cool but the older I get the less I feel nostalgic. I barely drive my E46 anymore ...

hm. drivetrain losses for FF manual drivetrain is usually 10-15%, so for a 278 brake horsepower car, we'd be looking at 236-250 wheel horsepower...not 208.

Another overrated Hyundai engine?

I would wait for more credible dyno testing before proclaiming anything.
