Should MR ditch Vbulletin for another forum software?

Browsing anything on a phone is a giant pain in the ass anyway. It's alright when you're taking a shit or searching for quick info while playing a game and you don't want to quit to desktop just to know what the scanner does in Syndicate, but any serious browsing on a phone or tablet is too slow and cumbersome to be any good long term.

Bin voyon, pkoi sa vien te chercher comme ca? Depuis que j'ai pus internet a maison depuis un ans, j'ai pas ouvert mon laptop appart pour faire quelque feuille excel. Si, non, c'est tellement plus pratique trainer un cell pour tout le reste. En tk, moi ca me convient ainsi.

Pour ce qui est du site, si tu peux avoir quelque chose comme le site de redflagdeal Danny, je serais bin content. Mais si c'est pour coûté trop cher, laisse ca comme ca.

A massive forum for sports enthusiasts called HFboards recently migrated from VB to Xenforo and I have to say it's been amazing. As a VB user I've gotten used to the new layout quickly and find it smooth and efficient. I'm thinking of doing the same for MR. I'm sure people will complain at first but Xenforo really is superior software. I especially like the notifications where you can see if someone replies to your messages.

Les forums sont sur leur fin, la mort est proche. Garde VB pour pas tout fucker pour le peu de temps qui reste à MR.

Sérieux c'est un forum de chars québécois, espères-tu vraiment tirer profit de ça 10 ans encore ?

J'ai vu plein de forums 10x plus gros qu'ici mourir dans les derniers mois/année.

I highly doubt Facebook groups will replace forums.

When you search for a question or an error message or something real specific on google, do you end up on Facebook or on a forum? You end up on a forum.

Facebook doesn't organize anything in a searchable way, it's a god damn mess. There's nothing to learn on that platform because it's hasn't been designed as a way to archive and organize information, it has been designed so you can easily hype things for a couple days and forget they even exist as they tumble down your wall into the abyss of nothingness that is your old posts.

I think forums will go down in popularity, but they will always have their place because not everyone is a fucking dummy.

C'est quand la dernière fois que tu as vu de l'info valuable sur MR toi ? MR est exactement le genre de forums à se faire remplacer par des groupes facebook : du contenu hors-sujet, de l'actualité, toutes des affaires sans intérêt.

Isn't when browsers evolve further that the problems will start showing up in the future, however distant?

As long as it's not some trendy fucking neckbeard flat design piece of shit engine and the UI is concise and clear I don't see the problem.
