That's OK. 90% of all US car sales are to Rental companies anyways. Are there consumer who actually buys american cars? lol
more than you can think of. 60+ years old tend to buy American only which are not bad product, just not up to par with their Japanese competitor and there's the young crowd who buys SRT, RS, ST, SS, etc. That's OK. 90% of all US car sales are to Rental companies anyways. American cars can be better on multiple points depending on which class, the fusion was one of the best intermediate sedan on the market.more than you can think of. 60+ years old tend to buy American only which are not bad product, just not up to par with their Japanese competitor and there's the young crowd who buys SRT, RS, ST, SS, etc.
There's anecdotal evidence in this thread that there's that one guy who did.
It remains to be confirmed though.

I'm hoping for the shift away from excessive utility. I understand why Ford wants to go down that path (it's a numbers' game after all) but I'm sure they'll come crawling back if there's a market share to be had. They'll keep supplying the european market with world cars, all they have to do is continue doing so and sending some our way, like the Focus and Fiesta. Even if they don't sell well, they can still make a profit here. It's not like a Focus buyer will go and get an Escape instead.
I understand the Taurus getting the axe though.
On a good note, maybe Ford might be enticed to develop another (smaller) car based on the Mustang platform. Now that would be cool.
Yes, the Focus buyer IS getting an Escape instead.
